Review from Ma Kathleen Guerrero
Saved the day Love it. Easily Scanned several docs while out of town, then attached them to an email. No hassle.
Very intuitive scanning, creating PDFs of my expense receipts, and adding them to folders (called "documents" in the app). The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they don't have auto-backup to cloud storage, only manual backups. And who remembers to do manual backups? Every time I upgrade my phone, I lose my previous scans. PLEASE add an option for auto-backup to Google Drive.
I've tested a few (dozen) of these scanners and collected a few documents that I use to torture them. There have only been two PDF Scanner apps that have aced all documents tested. This, Genius Scan+, and CamScanner Pro. I don't know which is the better one, or even if one is better than the other, but they are both way, way ahead of the competition. Saving to Evernote (and other places) has never been easier. If you want quality, you will have to pay for it and while the cheaper apps will do the job, they don't do it nearly as well.
Love the auto scan feature, takes nice scans quickly and easily and let's you email it out, what more do you really need? Continually updated unlike a lot of other scanner apps I've tried
Awesome, scan well uploaded to one drive, and email.
Would love if you could add folders and encryption of the backup files and I know it's a big ask but on phone OCR would make it near perfect. Your scanning app is in the minority concerning document privacy and security.
I've had really good luck with this app. I use almost daily at the office to quickly Scan everything from cheques to documents and easily convert jpeg files to pdf.
This minor update fixes a bunch of small painful bugs!
- Permission to access storage when importing files into Genius Scan is now requested when needed
- The scan flow has been slightly simplified with a Validate button at the end
- A crash preventing some scans from being opened has been fixed
