With recent updates to our new MeatStick products, we have removed the need for location service permissions in this app version. It's straightforward and easy to navigate, perfect for both novice and experienced cooks.

Please note that this app is exclusively for use with MeatStick products and cannot be used as a standalone app. For older Red Series devices, please download the MeatStick Red Series App, as these devices are not compatible with The MeatStick App.

This app now has a minimum requirement of Android 12 or above, due to the location service permission update. If you are using an older device, please download the MeatStick Red Series App.

I have the original kickstarter device as well as a brand new one. Original didn't work so I figured I'd give it a try after all these years. Still won't connect to the app. Gets stuck in a loop saying firmware is out of date and never updates. Even tried reinstalling the app and multiple devices.

App permissions are intrusive, not sure what my location has to do with cooking temperatures, but the app forces you to have it always on, not only in use. Requires too much information to start monitoring temps. I just want to know my internal and ambient temps. I don't need a built-in cookbook nanny. And for $100 you would expect the base to have an 18650 built-in with at least a USB charger. POS stopped working. Spend your money elsewhere. The base is trash.

When it works its great. But unfortunately each time it fails to synch with a fully charged thermometer. it's infuriating that it takes an hour of mounting and unmounting the probe for it to finally register. for the price it should work flawlessly.
