About this app

The Quantum Resistant Ledger (QRL) project is designed to be fully post-quantum secure using PQ-CRYPTO recommended/IETF standard cryptography. The QRL utilises a hash-based one-time eXtended Merkle Signature Scheme (XMSS) instead of ECDSA found in other blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum which is regarded as not being Quantum Resistant. Our implementation is backed by multiple third-party audits from red4sec and x41 D-sec.

Private keys associated with the users wallets are only stored on the users device and not on any third-party server. Sending Quanta end-to-end is fully post-quantum secure even through networks that utilize ECDSA.

While we've taken every step to ensure the security of our mobile wallets, they should be treated as 'hot-wallets', which is similar to how wallets work in real life where you wouldn't keep your life savings in them. For long-term storage, it's recommended to use the Ledger Nano S.

UPDATED 2 JULY 2020. The app had some sort of problem in early May. Froze on the phone, locking up functions, with data and power usage spiking. Account access and recovery features were frozen, too. Never explained what fully happened, and their support is problematic... But the app is working again and power/data normal. The app is still in beta phase, but the idea looks great, and important. Generate recovery key immediately, and back it up on another device before you buy any tokens...
