I love it. The level of insight school of life brings to viewers is appreciated, and it's nice to know people have somewhere to go when desiring answers. My most crucial complaint is the subscription barrier. I understand the need to have some form of income flowing. Nothing is free, after all. But others, including myself, struggle maintaining routines while on a journey of self-help. Spending money on something you don't know you can commit to is deterring. Maybe consider a free trial or ads?

Hello, thanks for taking the time to give us such detailed feedback. Of course we totally understand the current financial climate, which is why we offer two plans; annual & monthly. The monthly subscription is a rolling contract that you can cancel at any point, we also offer a free trial with zero obligation. I hope this helps :)

Good content, but I was disappointed to find that most articles are not available for audio consumption. I listen to audiobooks or podcasts (or The Economist) while driving, or while working out, and The School of Life articles would be perfect to integrate in these situations. If all the content was available to listen to (with a playback speed setting) as well as to read, I would resubscribe to this app in a heartbeat.

Given how much I love The School of Life, it almost feels wrong to be critical of the app, but I believe it makes one critical mistakes in term of presenting subscription-locked content. It is only when you have committed time to set up your app, stated your preferences, browsed through the categories, and clicked on an appetinzing article that you are faced with the fact that essentially all the content is behind the paywall. Really they should be more up front about this.
