I got this app to replace Google Maps on other people's recommendation but it's even more contrived. - It fails to recommend earlier busses often. Sometimes the wrong bus is listed (San Diego MTS) - It overestimates walking distance and this contributes to that again. This was my biggest gripe with Maps and it's not fixed here. - it's hard to map my bus when I get on it, often it's locked behind premium. - it can take a long time to start up. Maps is instant, this can take a full minute.

Mid I've been burned way too many times on this app. The routes stop working at random points, the zero minute timer never updates even though it's clearly still quite a while a way with traffic, I've waited at bus stops for an hour before checking my phone only to realize the app is not running as it was before and now the bus times are different. I've missed so many buses relying on this app and it's pissed me off to no end so I un-installed it for good.

Sorry to hear the information in our app has not always been correct. If you'd like to send us more details, you can contact us at Generally, the arrivals we show come straight from the transit agencies so any accuracy issues are often on their side, but we can certainly have a look if you can provide some specifics. Thanks!

Update: Gave in and paid. Some features work now that I pay but still has bugs that crash the app repeatedly on my modern Samsung phone. Even worse now. Requires a force stop regularly to make it work. No longer works great now that features are being removed from the free version. Miss the Go feature, which no longer functions most of the time. Helps when the location feed data from Metro is working correctly. Nice to see available options nearby.

If people can afford Royale, we ask them to pay for a subscription. We don’t want money to be a barrier for users, which is why we give away free subscriptions, no questions asked! You can visit our announcement page at or email us at to learn more about this!

What's new

To keep the winter at bay, our designer Béa knitted up some new in-app icons that will warm your heart… and feet. You can inspect her nimble-fingered needlework by navigating to the Royale section in the app settings. (Anyone can see her new app icons, but only our loyal subscribers can add them to their homescreen!)

Other than that? New year, new bug fixes.

PS: App glitch? Dropped stitch? We’re @transitapp on Twitterville. Rate us five stars if your usual place is the Milky Way.
