Sucks in Columbus. You absolutely cannot count on it at all unless the bus is just a couple of minutes away. Says the bus will be there in 7 minutes. Get to the bus stop and it changes to 9 minutes. Then to 12 minutes. I know its probably a COTA issue since they've been having problems with timeliness since May, when they changed everything all around. Just have to cross your fingers and hope...
It would be a great tool if the times were right. I'm on the platform, the app says the J is pulling in and the M is 4 min away. The board says 12 min for the J and the M isn't even on the board. I can see 4 stops away since we're above ground and there's no train in sight. So this app is basically useless.
I'm in Montreal and a new user to public transit because of this app. Works like a charm every time! Easy, friendly, accurate, and beautiful visuals. The only thing I would add is a simple option to choose which bus stop to depart from. Sometimes it defaults to a further stop depending on the setting "minimize walking". Other than that it is pretty much perfect. As a data person I would love to work for this company!
Love this app! Super helpful for getting around. I've used it in Portland, OR, San Francisco, and LA so far. The times are not always 100% accurate in LA, but that's more the fault of LA's public transit system, and the app updates the times frequently.
I just cannot get my head around it. The City of Regina has an app they developed. It is much more simple to learn. Just pick a route and watch every bus on that route. Great to use in -30 degree weather!
This is an absolute must have app for navigating new transit systems. I've used it in multiple cities big and small. Some smaller ones aren't present, but for places with robust transit this gets you where you need to be. It can even guide you to the stop you need to walk to, and gives multiple routes.
Since the start of 2018, we:
- Got a gym membership.
- Slipped on the ice.
- Got lost (Transit wasn't updating to our new location).
- Fixed the app so it always updates to our current location.
- Stepped in a huge puddle.
- Got a service alert notification from Transit but couldn't open it.
- Fixed the app so that the above never, ever happens again.
- Bought crampons.
- Met our valentine at the bus stop.
- Got lots of 5-star reviews from users. (Hint, hint.)
