When available, the real-time updates are extremely helpful. Even without them it gives an easy view of the next expected departures. It's also really cool to see how many people benefited from the real-time data my phone provided, probably one of my favorite features. Notifications work perfectly on my Pebble smartwatch. I still use Google Maps to plan my route, and this to track individual subway trains & buses. Really wish it could queue up multiple & alternate trains/buses (e.g. G > A/C > 4/5/6). Even better, a way to import a route from Google Maps! That would be perfect.
Incredible. I live in the Montreal atea where public transport is vital, things are so far apart and bus schedules aren't ideal. The app tells you if you're gonna be late for your bus and to hurry up! Also if I'm on the bus and location is on it will notify others the location of the bus like an Uber does. Only weird thing is transferring lines. Doesn't seem to work optimally. Good app!
Doesn't seem to be able to recognize the ability to say, switch trains to get somewhere. The light rail line that goes to Union Station (Denver) is closed at night, but you can still get there by taking another train and then switching at a station down the line. The app would be pretty great if it could incorporate that kind of functionality. In its current form it's a lot less useful. Edit: maybe it shows it this way because walking is technically a few minutes faster. Will do some further testing.
Clean and simple design. Good for knowing an approximation of your wait time and the possible bus routes. It could improve by giving the option of choosing the direction of the bus times when you first open the app. I want to see the time approximations gor the 178 going west, but It only shows them for the one going east.
Still very inaccurate for Sydney, train routes are generally incorrect. It never selects the most logical routes and doesn't even seem to know of the existence of the Sydney T6 line when using the top planner. Have reported several times however devs not interested in fixing. CityMapper app works fine. Very disappointed
Just getting the bus schedule in an app isn't impressive. I was hoping the real time GPS location of a bus would be available but it just estimates according to the displayed schedule. Nothing new here and a little disappointing not knowing if the bus is really late or has already passed. Good for tourists wanting to know how to get around...
DST made us sleep in too late this weekend, and we didn’t have time to write funny release notes. Oops.
So.... We fixed some bugs and GO now uses less battery. Go try it.
Apparently throwing 5 stars in a blender with some almond milk produces better release notes.
We'll fire up the blender if you take care of the stars. Then we can go milk almonds together, hand in hand.
