Manulife Vitality is all about helping members live healthy, earn rewards, and save money. And with the Manulife Vitality app, you can keep track of all the little steps you take towards a healthier you and enjoy all program’s benefits and rewards! From your smartphone you can:

Check in your goals and Vitality Points™

Monitor your progress towards your weekly goal to unlock rewards

Log a workout using GPS*

Submit proof of a completed activity (e.g 5K, dental check-up, etc…)

Enjoy the daily newsfeed with hot tips to help you live a healthier life

Link to Apple’s Health app to sync data via iPhone or Apple Watch

*Some features, like gym visits, may require GPS location services. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

The app is available for anyone to download, but you must have a Manulife insurance policy with Manulife Vitality and register on the website before you can log in. Once you’ve registered, you’ll use your Manulife Vitality website log in to sign into this app.

Still a buggy mess. Update 03/05/26: Now, whenever I open up the app, it says "Loading" before blanking to a plain white screen. Original: Every time I go to log in it tells me "A technical error has occurred." and it won't log me in and I should "Check back later". Well, weeks can go by, uninstalling and reinstalling does nothing, and this dumpster fire of an app means I can't sync up my activities allowing them to charge me more for my insurance... Subtle Manulife, real subtle.

Hi Nathan, I'm so sorry to hear this. We certainly do not want to keep you out of your account. Accounts are often locked after too many login attempts. Please call us at 1-888-626-8543 (8am-8pm M-F) and someone will help you out. They can also award Vitality Points that were recently missed. -JM

It generally works, but there are often periods of times that metrics from the FitBit does not carry forward into the Vitality App. The Manulife Vitality App, itself, posed some serious issues when it "updated" but my the new version was not compatible with my phone, which makes no sense, and also does not strike me as "just." Eventually, I needed to get a new phone, anyway, and while it works, the app is still a bit buggy. Honestly, this whole thing causes a great deal of needless frustration.

Google fit still doesn't sync properly. The only way I can get it to reliably sync is uninstalling and reinstalling the vitality app and then re-syncing, and then it works once. I gave up trying to do that last fall and now the last time it has synced is Sept 23, 2025. The manual sync button doesn't work either. Support suggested the reinstallation last year but I'm not about to do that every time I want to sync Google fit again. Can't get my mindful minutes. Syncing with my garmin watch works.
