I like this app. It's in its teething stages but I understand that, and with time I really hope the database will grow. I've found quite a number of products I have (or had) on the database, and with regards to the products it doesn't yet have, I've discovered that it needs a decent connection to submit new items. If there is any way any of us can help contribute to the further development of this app I'd really like to hear it, as the knowledge it imparts about what we put on our bodies is priceless and I'd love to help.
If it only updated! I love the concept of this app and it has helped me make better choices with the products i use but my choices are limited because of the small data base. I have added a number of products since the start of 2017 and i have yet to see any of them rated. I have also noticed that the number of products in the data base continues to stay the same. It jumps from 716,094 to 486, 234 and than back to 716,094?
Doesn't recognize ANY of my products. I understand its a fairly new app, however, they should have taken more time to add more products prior to releasing it. I started submitting all the products it didn't recognize, even the most generic brands, but realized why the heck am I doing all the work... Great concept though. I'll download it again when it's actually useful.
Great concept but it doesn't recognise 98% of the products I scan. That's okay as its a new app but, when I submit product info to add to the database it just spins and times out and the product is not added. I think it would be good if there was some kind of incentive for people to submit new products. As to what "reward" could be given I'll leave up to the developers. Great idea but has a way to go.
I like this app a lot. The database is huge and I've been able to find probably 90% of the products I use or ones I see in store that I want to check out. It offers great info on ingredients and why they are or aren't potentially dangerous. I also like that it gives you suggestions for similar products to buy that are lower on the "dirty" scale and you can follow a link to buy them. Overall I find this app really useful and it works well for me.
They need to beef up the products list, and they seriously need to reconsider some of the rankings. I have a lotion that automatically was ranked a 9 because 'purfume' is on the ingredients list. If you read the packaging or the company website the purfume oil is apricot oil and instead of a 9 the product should be a 4. So my shelf anslysis is skewed thanks to sloppy integration of data.
