I've used the Reuters app for many years but I'm finally uninstalling due to the oversized and annoying adverts in the articles themselves. The ads cause frustrating performance issues such as lagging and "sticking" when trying to scroll down an article. I have to wait for a couple of seconds before scrolling when loading the article and even then it still sticks and pauses. It does this on my Galaxy S6, Tab S2 and Pixel XL so it's not even a device-specific problem. **Updated 11/9/17** Well done for listening Reuters, scrolling appears to have been slightly improved and it's a little smoother now. It still lags and judders and it's not as smooth as other news apps, but it's better than what it was when I wrote my last review. Hopefully the next optimised update will cure it altogether. I'd prefer a thin persistent advert bar at the bottom of each page rather than something big that obstructs and lags up my reading, though.
An excellent world class news app, elegantly simple with clear settings. An option to subscribe to an ad free version would be great.
Love it. Highly factual, professionally written, and unbiased as much as it can be. Does have bias towards immigration and global warming issues.
I've been reviewing this app & it's one of the best. Keep updating & improving. Love it
