In order to use the potential of the available geothermal heat, it is necessary to support the planning of geothermal probes with the appropriate tools. The Biberach University of Applied Sciences is now making the GEO-HANDlight program, which has been tried and tested for several years, available as an app free of charge.
The program makes it possible to calculate from individual geothermal probes to entire fields of probes in various configurations and to check the relevant design limits. In this way, important parameters such as the fluid temperatures or the temperature reactions in the probe and in the ground can be determined with sufficient accuracy.
