Link Shrink is a URL shortening tool that's tightly integrated into the Android OS.
Choose "Share Page" in a web browser, news reader, file manager, etc and you'll be able to shrink a link before sharing it back out or copying to the system clipboard.
Currently only supports bit.ly.
This simple app helps you send Bitly shortened links to your friends via Facebook, Gmail, SMS and other applications.
It's really, really, simple. Just select Url Shortener from the list of applications that appear after you click on Menu->Share page in your web browser.
The app will automatically create a Bitly link for you that you can send to your application.
Use the default Bitly account, or add your own credentials so you can track statistics for the links you send.

There have been situations when I wasn't able to open the short urls on my android device. For the very same reason and considering some legacy web browsers still struggle to handle these url redirects, I decided to implement it in form of an application. Moreover, it'll also save you from visiting any unwanted link(s).
This is my first android app, I therefore urge the users to be patient and report errors as well as suggested improvements. I'll be more than happy to make it a better app :)
Apart from the most used url shortening services, others will be added based on user's request. Your app, your services, your convenience!
Added: Ability to check the availability of a website.

Why would you need a (big) web browser to open link that sends you to a Youtube video. Click this youtube link on your Android phone: http://bit.ly/10xGRnq (Then try again after installing this app to see the difference).
Sure, there are other apps that do this, but I think mine has unique features:
* Doesn't get in the way: It's small (~200kb). Minimal, but useful, user interface. Does exactly 1 thing and does it right.
* Handles Facebook's external links. Tired of launching the browser to open a m.facebook.com?l.php URL? No more.
* Handles Youtube's attribution links. These should be handled by the Youtube app (Google's fault). Short URL Resolver handles them for you, so you get to see the video on the Youtube app. No browser involved.
* Handles Tapatalk api click links.
* Handles google.com/url links, used in the Play Store for links in the description.
* Partial support for adf.ly.
Also, it's free, and ad-free. You can make an in-app donation if you feel it's worth it.
It doesn't use any third party service for resolving the URLs. The basic principle is making an HTTP request and determining where it's being redirected.
It's my first public Android App, but I think it's the best of its kind (you can try and prove me wrong X-D)
*Thanks for the comments and the reviews!*

12/1/13 - Added a Tap Drills for U.S. Sizes chart with drill sizes for 100%, 75%, and 50% threads as well as clearance sizes. May add the ability to long click on a thread size and pop up a window with the full information. The font does not scale on this chart and I need to know if that needs to be a preference. Will be adding metric tap drill sizes.
Please feel free to rate, review, and comment on the app. It will continue to get enhancements and new features. Please tell your friends and colleagues about it.
This app is part of my RC Calculators paid app for R/C modelers. I broke it out into a separate app because I found it very useful and wanted to make the drill charts free. There is now a version called RC Calculators Free Edition. It has a Unit Converter, Engine size calculator, Battery Voltage calculator, and other tools that even non-modelers will find useful.
This is a handy and accurate converter to avoid mistakes using a regular calculator.

Adds "Shorten" to the system-wide send menu (menu that asks where to send things you share from any app, see screenshot). Tap Shorten, and it shortens all URLs in the text you're sharing and ask you where to send it! No icon added to your home screen/launcher
