Description
Proximity Sensor Finder does what it says - it helps you locate the proximity sensor on your Android device. It is a very simple, purpose-built app with no flashy graphics.
Proximity Sensor Finder tells you a few things about your device:
1. Does the device have a proximity sensor?
2. Is an object in close proximity detected?
3. Does this device support actual proximity distances or just "covered" and "uncovered" sensor states?
4. For supported devices, exactly how far away is the object?
5. How long has the sensor been covered?
6. How much power is the proximity sensor consuming?
We developed Proximity Sensor Finder as an internal testing tool but it soon became apparent that there was a need in the market for just such an app, so we decided to ship it and make it free!

Great app Wanted to test my sensor after replacing the screen on my phone. The sensor is working great even though I covered it with tape. No idea how it functions but happy I don't have to take it apart again :)
Nirbhay Pundir
Does its task very well. But now that I've found the sensor with it's help, I have no use left for it. Uninstalling, but definitely 5 stars.

GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE! Pretty good for free! It's no LoJack but it's nice! I rate 3*'s because it does find your phone w the GPS sustem. My only con is the inevitable battery! There must be one of you good brainiac tec's that can make an app that will still work after the battery has died. My daughter rated this so listen shes extremly intelligent!

Proximity Screen Off Lite
Want to feel what gestures can do? here's an application which will let you turn of your screen just with a swipe!! yes that's right!! All you have to do is swipe your hand over the proximity sensor (Located near the earpiece on top of the phone).
Donate:
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=FQMVBPXQ6PERN
Features:
1) Turn off the screen by sliding your hand
2) Turn off the screen by Covering the sensor for a duration of time (Tap and Hold)
3) Turn on the screen by Covering the sensor for a duration of time (Tap and Hold) - Note: This can cause Battery Drain
4) Enable screen on/off during calls only
5) ScreenOff shortcut, to turn off the screen by launching the app.
6) Based on your device select the sensor of your choice, or the one that's available and configure their values, as they are different for different devices.
Motivation to build this app:
1) While the phone is in pocket, and you have your bluetooth headset connected, even though you can answer your call with a click of bluetooth headset button, because the screen goes on and remains on, your call may hang-up or go on hold or probably few buttons may get pressed, isn't that annoying?
2) Lot of android phones don’t turn off the screen when phone is held close ear (You may end up hanging up on someone)
3) Accidental call pickups: Since capacitive screens are sensitive to touch as well as heat, An Incoming call gets picked up automatically when phone is in the pocket (And we get obliged to speak to annoying calls)
4) Its Cool!!!
5) If you are a HD2 user, you would know the pain. Many users have replaced that hardware buttons due to usage!!!
NOTE: To un-install, go Settings, Locations & Security, Select Device Administrators and disable the ScreenOff App

Sensor Box for Android
Sensor Box for Android detects all available sensors on your Android device, and vividly shows you how they work with amazing graphics. Sensor Box for Android also tells you which sensors are supported by the hardware, and provides extremely useful sensor tools that could be used in our daily life.
Sensors included
- Gyroscope Sensor
Gyroscope sensor can measure six directions at a time. You will be able to see the effects immediately by rotating your phone slightly. Now Gyroscope sensor is mostly used in 3D game development, and possibly indoor navigation in future.
- Light Sensor
Light sensor is applied to detect the light intensity of the environment, and then adjusts screen brightness and determines whether to turn off the keyboard light. Test the effect by putting your phone in dark place and retrieving it.
- Orientation Sensor
Orientation sensor is applied to detect direction status of the device, i.e. auto rotate screen when device is rotated horizontally. It can also be used as measure equipment like Spirit Level.
- Proximity Sensor
Proximity sensor measures the distance between two objects, usually the device screen and our hands/face etc. Test the effect by moving your hand forward and backward in front of the device in Sensor Box for Android.
- Temperature Sensor
Temperature sensor provides information about your device temperature, thus you can take action when the temp is too low or high.
- Accelerometer Sensor
Accelerometer sensor is applied to detect device directions, i.e. auto rotate screen when the device is rotated vertically. It is also widely used in game development.
- Sound
Sound detects the sound intensity around you and provides you detailed information about the intensity changes.
- Magnetic Field
Magnetic Field is used in many areas like metal detection and compass, which bring us lot convenience in our life.
- Pressure
Pressure is used to detect environmental pressure, thus to forecast weather and temperature.
Sensor Box for Android only detects changes. It may not show the correct temperature, proximity, light and pressure values if no changes occur.
For better performances, sensors are usually used together. Check out the live demonstration inside the application! Any feedback the email address below is the best way to get in touch with us.
Gravity Screen - On/Off

Are you tired of turning on and off your device when you need it only for a second? Is your lock key hard to reach? Do you have a broken power button?
This app can solve these issues by liberating you from the usage of the power button.
This app can solve these issues by liberating you from the usage of the power button.
It turns automatically your screen off when you put your phone into your pocket or onto a table and turn the screen on when you take it out or up. No need to touch any button and you are ready to go.
HOW TO UNINSTALL?
Use the UNINSTALL button in the app.
HOW IT WORKS
It monitors the orientation of the device through the gravity sensor. When your phone is pointing downward by its top, below a certain angle, it's likely to be out of use. In this situation the proximity sensor is activated to determine if it is covered. If yes, it turns the screen off because probably you placed the phone into your pocket or onto a table. To keep the battery usage low the program turns on the proximity sensor only when it's really necessary. Moreover, when it turns your screen off and the proximity sensor is covered it puts your phone into deep sleep state to save as much energy as possible.
FREE FEATURES
- Pocket Sensor: Recognizes if your phone is in your pocket.
- Table Sensor: Detects your phone is lying on a table.
- Turn Screen Off by Proximity: activates the proximity sensor before turning the screen off.
- Turn Screen On by Motion: If the screen is off and it's facing up the device can be woken up by any movements, for example by lifting up by hand. Usage of the power button can interferes with this option.
- Keep Screen On by Motion: It keeps the screen on by relying on the small movements you are doing by your hand while holding the phone. If motions are detected while the screen is facing up, it keeps the screen on because it can be suspected that the phone is held and probably you are reading something. If the phone is steady it will turn the screen off normally no matter the position you leave your device. It's especially helpful if your lock key is hard to reach or if the power button is broken.
- Tasker, Llama, Locale supported by plug-in.
IN-APP PURCHASE FEATURES
- Wider range in Table Sensor
- Turn Screen On by Motion Timeout can be set above 15 minutes
- Exclude Apps option: The app pauses itself anytime if selected app is running, it'll resume when you close the app. Useful when playing games etc.
- Widgets, PowerToggles plug-in
VERSIONS: FREE vs. PRO vs. UNLOCKED by IN-APP PURCHASE (recommended)
In the Pro version, there is no 15 minutes limit for turning the screen on by motion and the Table sensor can be set more precisely. Unlocked version has everything what Pro has, plus it has an Exclude App list, a more advanced Delayed lock option and Widgets.
BATTERY USAGE
It should be not significant. I experienced about 6 per cent extra consumption on the test device. However it can be much higher by often using the Turn Screen On by Motion feature. Thus, keep your phone face down if you want to save energy.
IMPORTANT
On some devices (e.g. HTC One) the alarm clock is switched off by the app after it had gone off! Please check if it's the case for you. If, yes, use a third party app, for example: http://goo.gl/Y55zBZ
FAQ
Q: I'm experiencing high battery usage, why?
A: The app should use about 6 percent extra energy per day if you are not using too much the Turn Screen On by Motion feature, for example keeping your phone face down when it's on a table. Moreover, the android en-built battery consumption measurement can show much higher results if it's based on a short period of time.

Screebl - Screen On/Off Sensor
Get your Screen on! Screebl is an application that controls your screen based on orientation. Never have the screen timeout again while using your phone, and SAVE BATTERY too. It's possible with Screebl!
Screebl, the battery saver keep your screen on wunderkind, works based on a simple observation: we generally hold our phones or tablets in roughly the same positions when we're using them. Screebl uses the sensors in your mobile device to detect how you're holding it, and when your device is within a configurable range, the screen is kept on. Move out of that range, and Screebl releases the lock and the screen is allowed to go off. Using gravity, screen orientation, and other cues, your screen is kept on when it should be, and turned off when you don't need it. It's simple, but it works amazingly well!
How is Screebl a battery saver? Well, it's simple. On most phones, the screen is the single largest consumer of battery power. With Screebl running you can reduce the average amount of time that your screen is on by only keeping it on when you're ACTUALLY using your phone. The amount of savings can vary significantly by device and usage patterns, but it is not uncommon for users to see savings of 20% or more. See our web site for more details.

KNOWN ISSUES
✓ Some phones do NOT deliver sensor events when the screen is off. Examples include some HTC phones, some Sony Xperia phones, and quite a few Motorola phones. PocketLock may not work properly on these phones. See this link for more info: http://www.saltwebsites.com/2012/android-accelerometers-screen-off
✓ PocketLock sometimes causes battery drain on some devices. The effect of the PocketLock feature varies widely from one device to another. The longer that you have PocketLock monitor for removal from your pocket, the more power used. Most devices see a minor increase in power consumption when using PocketLock (4-8%).
✓ Stillness detection doesn't detect small movements on some devices. A few devices have coarse-grained sensors, and movement is not detected well, causing unwanted stillness timeouts. I am working on a fix for this that will be in an upcoming release. Most phones are fine.
✓ Screebl doesn't start when the phone is powered-on. On some HTC phones the "fastboot" capability can cause problems with Screebl starting at power-on. I've done my best to fix this, but it still is a problem on some HTC devices. Screebl must NOT be moved to SD storage.

Market Spoofer
MarketSpoofer is a critical development tool that every Android developer and hacker should have handy. MarketSpoofer allows you to configure a custom Android Market search by spoofing values that normally would be not available from your device. Configurable values include user login, manufacturer and model, android version, carrier network, and locale. This is extremely useful to determine if the right target users are able to see your app in the Android Market, or to determine what kind of competition your app may see on a given device.
Many devices and carriers are supported but we are adding more all the time. If you would like a specific device or carrier added, please email us at tiger.monster.industries@gmail.com and we will research the requested device as soon as possible.
Note that Google does some fairly advanced carrier-based filtering for some networks and we have not yet reversed engineered all of their filter parameters. Sending us device dumps from the "Device Details" screen helps immensely, as does sending us examples of apps that are known to be filtered.
To see the app in action, try spoofing a Verizon seach for Skype and then an AT&T search for Skype and note the differences.
Our first version supports a few dozen carriers in 13 countries, 26 locales, 14 Android versions, and 7 device manufacturers.
We've got some interesting enhancements planned for MarketSpoofer in the future as well, so watch this space!
MagiCard
Introducing MagiCard, the first of a new wave of high-end, high-tech magic apps for the professional illusionist.
MagiCard uses a set of simple-to-learn techniques to allow the magician, you, to produce a card of your choice at any time. The magic trick can be handed to a spectator to examine as well, and resetting to perform the trick again is practically instantaneous. All handling and techniques are discussed inside the Help menu of the app.
During the development of MagiCard we performed the trick hundreds, perhaps thousands of times. Not a single mark ever discovered the secret. Combined with some patter about the amazing capabilities of the modern mobile device, you will completely blow away your spectators.
MagiCard is not cheap, nor is it for everyone. It is a highly polished app primarily targeted at professional and aspiring illusionists. Please send feedback on handling, mechanisms, feature requests, tweaks, etc. to tiger.monster.industries@gmail.com. We are very interested in your thoughts and are excited to bring real magic to the mobile device world. If anyone is interested in providing language translations of MagiCard, please drop us a note.
MagiCard is the first Android platform release from Tiger Monster Industries. We hope you enjoy performing MagiCard for your audiences.
Wingman Card Magic
Wingman Card Magic uses the oldest trick in the book to allow the magician, you, to produce a card of your choice at any time - an accomplice. Wingman Card Magic and Wingman Card Accomplice are a pair of apps that you deploy on 2 Android devices that have been paired over Bluetooth. The illusionist asks the audience to call out, draw, sign, or otherwise indicate a card, and the accomplice simply chooses it surreptitiously in the accomplice app.
NEW FEATURES! Card flips are now animated! New cards added - black and red Jokers, and a special U MAD card to really confuse your audience.
Wingman got its name from the common practice of bringing a buddy to the table when trying to make new romantic connections to help make a great first impression. It is the buddy's job to make the performer look good. - You must pair and connect the 2 devices in advance. Pairing lasts forever, but connection must be done every time the trick is launched.

- When ready to perform or rehearse the trick, from either device choose "Connect a device". The paired device will already be in the list. Select it, and the devices will be connected.

- Wingman Card Accomplice indicates that it is connected by updating its status bar with the connected device name.

Wingman Card Accomplice
Wingman Card Magic uses the oldest trick in the book to allow the magician, you, to produce a card of your choice at any time - an accomplice. Wingman Card Magic and Wingman Card Accomplice are a pair of apps that you deploy on 2 Android devices that have been paired over Bluetooth. The illusionist asks the audience to call out, draw, sign, or otherwise indicate a card, and the accomplice simply chooses it surreptitiously in the accomplice app.
NOTE: THIS IS THE ACCOMPLICE APP. The main Wingman Card Magic 2.0 app is required to perform the illusion with the help of this app.
