A poor app that is not fit for purpose. I always have problems syncing between the watch and the app; and it really doesn't seem to make any difference if you uninstall and reinstall the app. It's incredibly frustrating as it doesn't allow to do what you've paid a lot of money for it to do. If the app did work, it would be perfect for the non-sporty types would wanted to record their steps etc. A huge shame, and feels like a waste of money and time!
All of a sudden my watch will not sync with the app. I get a communication error message that tells me to restart the phone or app. I have tried unpairng, restarting, and even reinstalling. Now I can't get past the start up screen of the app. I submitted a help ticket through the app and I never heard from timex. I'm really frustrated. I have had this watch since January and never have had this issue. Update: Sent the watch in for repair and was sent a new watch with a bill for a repair fee. The new watch also will not work even after trying to pair with different devices. I really do think something is wrong with the app. I am very unsatisfied and I wish I could return the watch, but I know I can't.
Had the metropolitan for 2 days. Didn't really do a great job of logging my data. Tried to install an update but it won't go past 2% of the installation before I get a 'Gatt characteristic write error.' Now the watch doesn't work at all. Any Ideas?
Need to keep re installing it! Only way it will work!!!! Have been through "forget my watch" palaver in my phones Bluetooth settings a zillion times! Only way I can get it to sync is to Uninstall the app and start again. Too expensive a device to have to keep doing that! Come on Timex sort this App out!!!! Seriously annoying because I love the look and feel of this rather useless watch (due to awful app)!!!!
The app synced to my watch (IQ plus move) the first day and now it says it having a communication error. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still can't sync the watch. Continues to show communication error. Not happy. $149 is way too much for it not to work on the second day. Come on Timex, get it together! Update: Timex made an update and so far everything is functioning the way it should. Timex, the app would be much better if you could add the function to choose how often to sync Instead of only once a day or manually.
The old version used NFC. Great! Tap the watch to the phone and it would sync. New version removed NFC support. The bluetooth syncing is much less convenient. The watch is problematic when you replace the battery. Recommend sending it in to Timex for that (big bother!).
