About this game

Card Crawl is a solitaire-style dungeon crawler game played with a modified deck of standard cards.

Clear the dungeon of 54 cards by using item-cards, slaying monsters and managing your limited inventory. On each run, you can use five ability-cards (mini deck building) to gain unique skills. By collecting gold, you can unlock 35 more ability-cards to access new tactics and even higher scores.

Card Crawl’s four single-player game modes are enhanced by Google Play to let players compare their scores and the associated decks. A typical game lasts two or three minutes and is a perfect “one more game” experience while waiting in line or commuting.

FEATURES

• Solitaire-style gameplay
• Four game modes (normal, constructed, daily & delve)
• Dungeon deck editor for building and sharing custom dungeon decks
• 35 unlockable ability-cards
• Mini deck building
• Google Play integration
– To compare high scores and decks
– To challenge your friends
– To access tricky new achievements
• Two to three minutes of playtime per game

Very nice design and game mechanics...but ultimately the game is just too easy for me. Without giving away to much, there are a couple of tricks that you can always apply and will keep you safe. Ever since i figured this out, I've never been worried about dying. From what I've read online there are no interesting decks/monsters in the other game modes so right now I've got no incentive to get the paid version :(.

I would recommend changing the empty drink sound effect. It doesn't quite match the theme of the game. Too arcade machine and not taverny. Also, the language "replay" in the end game window suggest playing again and losing progress from that game. "Play again" makes more sense. (Unless progress does get lost) and to not make that mistake I always go back to the menu then start a new game

This game is a standby fave because it's simple but still requires some thought and has great replay value. The only gripe I have is that any time I do chaos and have a 0 card, my life always becomes 0. I understand that statistically this obviously has to happen sometimes, but it is literally every time and then I lose the game. Might be a bug, not sure. Otherwise, love it.
