Keep getting "hardware codec not supported" error while loading a live video on my Verizon S6 using 4G Out-of-home. When will you get rid of the proxy? It is hard to scroll down the channels, should make it easier to skip to higher channels. Also, add the volume slider back, much more convenient than having to press buttons.
Can't connect Sadly, this is typical TiVo. The app might work, but I get nondescript error messages when trying to log in. I love my TiVo. But their apps, online tools, etc. are always painful.
The app stopped working and no support! App worked great for a month on my LG Stylus Android phone. 1 day I went to record movies/shows on my phone & I can't get past pick a cable box (I have a T6 & a mini) either 1 that I pick does nothing, & my only option is to sign out. I've deleted the app many times & re-installed it only to get the same thing. ONE time it did show me the recordings on the dvr & because I deleted the app all the recordings that Were on my phone Gone! & guess what? It asked me to pick a box & we're back to the issue!
It seems like TiVo has finally fixed the playback issue with the latest update. I can once again watch all of my recordings and fast-forward without the app returning an error. The general interface of this app is still very messy and unorganized (-1 star) Also in the age of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, I don't understand why it takes longer for videos to load and skip stored on my own DVR than those stored on servers thousands of miles away (-1 star)
Plays a recording for a few minutes then fails with E=36 V=4 error every single time. Running through streaming setup again fixes it for a few minutes until the exact same thing happens again. Really wishing I didn't buy a Tivo at this point. Update: many months later and the app now fails to find the Tivos on my network, so now it's even worse than one star. Don't fall for the Tivo promises, they are the worst buy I have made in many years.
Needs support for rooted devices. I have a Roamio OTA. I wish TiVo would allow streaming to rooted devices, at least when connected to a TiVo Roamio OTA, as the content is not blocked anyway, but I guess that requires common sense. Drops connections more than my other streaming apps as well. My up speed for my internet at home is around 23 meg, so that's not the issue. It has the capability to be so much better. Update 10/17/15: In-home streaming works great. Out-of-home streaming, even with a very fast LTE connection, is unreliable.
We've added support for in home and out of home download of recordings for TiVo Stream and TiVo Roamio Plus/Pro users (not all recordings can be downloaded due to copy protection assigned by the content provider).
We've improved What To Watch with a Now, Next, Tonight time selector
and the ability to re-order or show/hide the feeds.
We've also addressed a number of bugs including a bug impacting Samsung Tab S users running Lollipop
