I bought this app, because it says "No advertising" in the description. But every few minutes i see a foolscreen ad!
Great app. They're always adding new sounds too, which is fantastic!
The affect increases with each use as your brain associates the sound with rest. I turn it on, and I'm drowsy in minutes. I use the waves and water for sleep. If my noisy nephew comes over, I add brown noise to the mix to block out the loud sounds. I've used this for two years now on three different phones. Great!
I just needed simple white noise something without ads, and this has way more than that. I mix the brown noise with rainfall and it's perfect. Used the free version then upgraded when my baby was born to help him sleep better too.
The sounds are sharp and crisp while being soft and soothing at the same time. I listen to it nearly constantly because I find silence to be "distracting" to the point I can't get anything done, and using this means my co-workers don't have to listen to my music and I don't have to wear headphones. At night, silence is even worse, and I can't sleep without some sound. I turn this on and on good to go - no songs to get caught up in and start singing along, no abrupt changes in volume or style. Great to use pretty much any situation I can imagine where some background noise is desired.
I love the rain. I work night shift and I use this app when I know I will have a hard time falling asleep because of a busy brain or too much noise in the house. It works like a charm every time.
