Time Rise is a digital hourglass: set a duration then flip your device upside down. The whole screen will fill up with a color of your choice just like the sand would fill up an hourglass. Flip your device on its side to pause the countdown or flip it upside down again to restart.

Time Rise additionally offers a wide variety of customization in the settings section, with multiple display, notification and timer start trigger options.

So simple in design yet so intuitive. Does what it advertises without unnecessary bloat. I use it as a pomodoro timer when studying. I just lay my phone on a stand with the timer and let it do its thing. The simple design makes it so it isn't too distracting while at the same time keeping me aware of the timer without diverting too much attention. And the motion controls makes sure I don't have to interact with my phone more than I have to. 5 ⭐ all around for me!

I use this app quite regularly for a few months now and I am in love with the visual feature of the widening colour bar mimicking the experience of a sand timer. It's minimalist design and function is perfect for my needs... However personally I think it would be very interesting if the app had an option to only present the colour sliding background without the countdown displayed. I think this would be greatly beneficial for anyone who can get stressed from a countdown timer like myself.

This is so close to what I was looking for and I love it! If a simple toggle to show or hide the time could be added in settings itd be amazing! Just having something like an actual hour glass where the exact time is slightly ambiguous is so cool to me!
