Need a task manager that is everywhere that you are? Then look no further. I love that Todoist integrates with every service that I use and many more that I don't but could one day. It doesn't matter if I'm online, checking my email, at home, in the office, or in my car, I always have a way to get a task into Todoist. Plus it's updated regularly and they are committed to being the best online task manager money can buy and it shows. The app is clean and is easy to use and understand. It also has a great help section and customer support team that responds quickly. Keep up the great work. It is a pleasure to use Todoist to help make sense of my daily responsibilities.
I'm not one to place reviews unless they are warranted. For years I've been looking for ways to mange my productivity and have now found it. This app not only helps me manage my work tasks, but also my families tasks at home. We share projects, organize tasks, and even assign chores for the kids. We have shopping lists, temples for seasonal projects, and personal lists for our own productivity. I could go on and on how this has helped, but you need to try for yourself to see.
New design ruins usability Until recently, Todoist was hands-down the best app I'd ever found for android, and the only app for which I've ever been willing to pay annual fees to use the premium version. The new design is all about style over substance and makes it more difficult to manage tasks, so I'm looking for an alternative.
Plenty of filtering and sorting options, but not many color categories to choose from and not very new-user friendly. Personally, I prefer Any.do's group-style layout and notification system. Todoist just feels like "Gmail lite" ...like I'm sending myself an email, labeling it, and dropping it into a folder with a reminder. Also, the PC version seems buggy and doesn't want to save dates at times.
This has the workings of being a great app, but unfortunately I can only speculate since many of the options were unavailable on the free version. The fact that reminders are considered a premium account benefit is ridiculous. Although I liked what I was able to try, personally I cannot justify paying the subscription fee when other apps offer just as much for less. I was looking for a replacement for Wunderlist, but this is definitely not it.
Has everything you'd want from a task-manager-type app, definitely worth trying. A few minor problems: the swiping left to right action for the menu sometimes interferes with/gets confused with the same action for completing a task. Also if you work primarily by looking at projects, the menu system can be a bit tedious, as you have to reopen the projects drop down menu when starting the app.
