The keto diet (also known as a ketogenic diet, low carb diet and LCHF diet) is a low carbohydrate, high-fat diet. Maintaining a low carb diet is great for weight loss. Moreover, according to an increasing number of studies, a low carb diet helps reduce risk factors for diabetes, heart diseases, stroke, Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, and more!


We’re beginning to understand that carbs in large quantities are more harmful than previously thought, while most fats are healthy & essential (the basis of a low carb diet).

When you eat lots of carbs, your blood sugar is consistently elevated and, as a result, so is insulin. Insulin is a hormone that keeps your blood sugar in check by shuttling the glucose into cells, but when there’s a consistently high amount of insulin, your cells become resistant.

Database of foods seems to be really small. Some of the foods I enter, I eventually find (with difficulty) and the names are wrong, even when it's clearly the right food. Probably related to that, the scanner just doesn't do anything probably half the time. Other times, it seems to scan, then locks up the app entirely until I reboot my phone. Is there a way to save a whole meal or just 1 ingredient at a time? Has potential, but disappointing.

The tracker is awesome as long as the product is in the system. The problem is there are a LOT of products that aren't listed. Other apps have compensated for this by allowing you to add in specific macros and creating new entries or saved "shortcuts", but, in this app the option does not exist. Being new to keto, I appreciate the availability of an app like this, I just wish it was more efficient at tracking non mainstream meals

The free version is great!! I like the graph on the main tracker page. It shows where you're at in all categories (calories, fat, carbs, etc.) I wish I could combine foods into meals to save. I also don't see a way to add foods from scanning bar codes or searching, into My Foods. I have to create them from scratch. Are those options in the premium version?
