About this app

Welcome to the beta program for Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard - here you can test early performance updates, new unreleased features, customizations, and special themes. Thanks for helping us make Microsoft SwiftKey the best it can be!

The Microsoft SwiftKey beta app for Android will not replace the regular Microsoft SwiftKey app on your phone, but will be downloaded as a second app so you can switch between the two for comparison.

Beta Expectations

Features in the beta app are in active development and might not work perfectly or ever be released to the main Microsoft SwiftKey app.

How you can help make Microsoft SwiftKey better

As a beta tester, we rely on you to help us find bugs and give us feedback on new features. To give us feedback or report any bugs, head on over to our Support Forums - We have a group of moderators and SwiftKey staff members that are actively looking and responding to feedback.

I'm generally a pro-Google anything but this is one thing I'll give to Microsoft. Definitely the best keyboard. Seems to TRULY learn my writing style and I enjoy it a lot more. Themes are great and I like how you can even choose between different click sounds. Gotta hand it to them. So many keyboards gloss over something as simple yet important as a click sound. I find the default one on Android very annoying but the one SwiftKey has is calmer and nicer to the ear.

The regular SwiftKey has the disappearing problem that other people are dealing with. The beta version is my favorite Android keyboard, but the recent update that moved the emoji button to the lower left is awful. I can't hit a comma without triggering emojis and when I keep typing quickly, it goes emoji crazy. I haven't yet sent an inappropriate amount of emojis without noticing, but come on, give me a buffer. Or at least allow me to toggle it. I may have to move back to native Samsung

Keyboard keeps disappearing. Also, can you move the microphone button to the top row? It's especially difficult to press when in the condensed mode and I actually use it more than the swype feature especially when driving. Also, can we customize that row? I never use the pin, or location, and rarely the gif. It would be nice to be able to select the options we actually use and have more room to get to them without the mistake of pressing what we don't. Thanks!

Hello, thank you for your feedback. You can reorder your toolbar items(microphone). Please try the following for reordering your Toolbar, Tap on the three dots on your toolbar> Scroll down to the bottom of the icons and tap on the "Reorder items" button> Then, you can drag the icons to reorder or add to the toolbar. Thank you!
