The Toyota app makes it easy to manage your vehicle anytime, anywhere. Designed for convenience, safety, and peace of mind, the app lets you stay connected to your Toyota like never before.

Key Connected Services Features (1):
Remote Connect – Start or stop your engine, and lock or unlock your doors, among other features, including Digital Key (1) and Last Parked Location
Service Connect and Maintenance Made Simple – Schedule service with your Toyota Dealer and track your vehicle’s health

Drive Connect – Map your route using Cloud navigation, Live agent support via Destination Assist and Voice commands like, “Hey Toyota. Take me home” will help you get where you want to be

Safety Connect includes Roadside Assistance Support - the Assist 24/7 button allows you to get help or press the SOS button inside your Toyota

Owner Resources – Access your vehicle’s owner’s manual and warranty guides

(1) Toyota Connected Services vary by vehicle and are subject to change at any time without notice. Services depend on 4G network availability, a cellular connection and GPS signal. Every time I use the app or get a notification, it disconnects my phone from the car. I am then required to either connect my phone to the car with a cable, or delete then repair my phone with the car. Extremely frustrating. The functionality is also more limited than I expected. I'll keep using the app for the free trial period but unless things improve drastically, I'll delete once the trial is over.

The app just plain doesn't work. I try to enable something and it tells me I need to connect via Wi-Fi, I try to connect over Wi-Fi and it says I need to disconnect from Bluetooth, I disconnect Bluetooth and it tells me I can't connect via Wi-Fi because I'm not connected via BT. Remote start as a service for $80/year? Far que. An aftermarket remote start costs that much and works for the life of the car. Thankfully it's my girlfriend's car but I'll definitely never buy a Toyota after this.

I have enjoyed the app immensely the past year with my free subscription. Now I have to pay a monthly fee to continue. I literally only want the remote subscription, but they force you to combine it with either a navigation app or a music lovers app, both of which you don't need if you use Android Auto or Apple to connect to your vehicle. There should be an option for only the remote, be realistic with your consumers needs, this isn't an inexpensive service you are providing. Do better.
