Tensions are simmering in South Coast City and it's up to YOU to help keep the peace.
The Lost Summer is a game developed by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner aimed at 11 to 14-year-olds to help teach the social and emotional skills required to optimise positive behaviours online.
The Lost Summer immerses players in a futuristic environment where you need to exercise skills such as critical thinking, empathy, resilience, respect and responsibility to complete challenges and advance through the game.
The game is made up of 30 minute chapters, with each focusing on a key area of digital intelligence:
RESPECT - act respectfully towards others, acknowledging and appreciating that others may have different points of view, cultures and backgrounds.
RESILIENCE - be resilient and respond with strength and maturity when risks are encountered online.
EMPATHY - show empathy to others and use emotional intelligence to embrace diversity of opinion and freedom of speech.
Further chapters focusing on RESPONSIBILITY and CRITICAL THINKING will be released soon!
