I checked 2g coverage before buy through tractive links, just Vodafone(good for Orange and movistar) has a bad coverage, so I bought...Now it results not to have enough and device doesn't work properly, no safe area nor low battery notification(just sometimes it comes after 45/60 minutes) . Live just work once every 5/10 trying, "notification test" works also if device has no coverage (led doble red). In these terms device results absolutely useless and, based on my experience is due to the use o cheap and not powerful chips... My first 5 years ago smartphone has better reception in GSM and GPS then this tracker... I will send it back to seller,... Sadly enough!
Buyers beware 2G only!!! & it's being shut down globally. This was a great system for tracking my dog and device worked perfectly.... Here comes the but!!!!! It is now completely useless. It only works on 2G networks and teleco's around the world are now shutting down their 2G networks. Which this device is useless without. Been in contact with tractive support 3 months ago, they said a 3G device is in development but still not available. And would have to buy it with a discount even though hadn't had the device for a year. Only workes for about 7 months. So I've now cancelled my subscription before it auto renews at the end of the month... Check your local mobile networks to see their 2G turn off dates.
The readings are usually very accurate. A great device and app if you want to know what your pets get up to.
