Overall this was a well made and well thought out app. The quality of sounds that played and the amount of options available was impressive. For my dog, I found it more helpful to work with him on ignoring the sounds as they played through the day rather than just leaving it on and walking away. If I had one complaint, it would be that if you go into another app or get a phone call or your screen goes black, the app stops playing completely.

We tried this app through Pupfluence on IG (@sassyqtbailey). It's a strong concept (desensitizing and exposure therapy), but I think the app needs some work. I tried recording our own audio - not sure it works. The default audio is great but could be expanded on to include common triggers (skateboard, helicopters). Keeping the app open is also a downer, would be great if it could run in the background and let the audio be longer in duration. Hoping to see this develop further.

Trainaway is a good way to train your dogs to become used to everyday sounds. It comes preloaded with noises, but in my opinion the most interesting option is the one to record your own sounds. With that option you're able to record the exact sounds that cause reactions. One thing to keep in mind is that it is recommended to play the noises through a stereo, or something similar that can get the noise as close to the real thing as possible. It is a great tool to have in your pocket, literally, and a wonderful first step in training your pup.
