Little real time value Currently trying to use in Chapel Hill. Various bus stops show no arrival times, or some bus stops on a route show arrival time while other bus stops on the same route do not show arrival time... making users have to guess when bus will arrive. Nice display. Could benefit from giving users options to favorite bus stops.
Used to be good Latest changes basically killed real time tracking, only shows locations on first loading. Moreover only works when using Mobile data, won't allow access if connected via WiFi, which is a terrible design flaw.
Not good enough Too many tracking inconsistencies, maybe some "real time clarification" would at least assist the user in making critical decisions about his or her journey. In this current version, buses simply disappear from the screen, or are shown incorrectly. I like the idea but for commuting transit riders going to and from work, making estimates or guessing can get you fired. There are just too may variables that could cause a false reading or no info at all.
Bad update It worked well before I don't know what happened but it doesn't track the bus in actual time anymore. I would have to revisit the app every few seconds to see where it is.
Better before Switching between the city buses & my college's buses is annoying. Can they make a way to save multiple locations? I don't enjoy having to waste my time constantly switching (and scrolling) between the two.
Jumps and Delayed Frequently this app does not update where the shuttles are right away so that there's a huge jump the next time it does. Or there is a delay. Either way, it has made mistakes which have left me at shuttles stops for hours. Only app my school uses so I don't have a choice.
With this update, we've fixed a few issues that were causing battery drain issues for some users.
This is the last planned update for this app. We are moving our focus to our new app Rider. Rider has all the features of the classic TransLoc app, plus many more. If your Android device runs ICS(api 14) or greater we recommend you switch today!
The classic app will remain in the market for all of our Gingerbread users.
Wishing you a pleasant ride,
