How the Mobile App works?

The food order facility through its mobile app is another feather in TravelKhana’s Cap. It works in the following simple steps:

First, you can download the Travelkhana App from Playstore on your Smartphone. On the first page, enter the train number or name and station of departure or you can simply key in the PNR number of your ticket.

The site throws open options of the menu: Examples are Vegetarian thali, Non vegetarian Thali, Pizza, Jeera rice and curry, Veg and Non-Veg., Biryani, Tandoori Naan and Chicken/ Paneer Curry or individual items like Curd Rice, Curry, Vegetables, Rice, Naan, etc. which can be ordered separately. In most places, local delicacies are on the menu. Usually, there is a minimum size of order from Rs. 300 and upwards.

Now you can place an order and view the total order, before confirming the order. Next step is to Sign in by providing name, mobile number and e-mail ID. Now you will get an SMS from TravelKhana on your phone, and you have to enter this code on the next page. You must now provide coach number and seat number.

Next, you have to proceed to the payments section. The page will show total amount to be paid and payment options- mainly Cash on Delivery or Online via Visa, Master card or Diner’s Club International card. After you make payment, you will be redirected to your bank’s website to confirm the transaction.

Now you have completed the whole process, and all you need is to wait for the food that will be delivered piping hot and delicious.

Please don't use this app... Firstly, there is absolutely no guarantee that you will receive your food. No tracking system available. Secondly, they have contacted cheap roadside dhabas, and food quality is pathetic. No vendor based selection system available. Again they don't have more than half of food items available in the menu. They argue with you and charge extra for replced items, and you will end up paying double the normal amount... Please don't use this app..

Worst experience ever....!! I used this app to order food for my brother and the order was placed 3 weeks in advance. Despite placing the order in advance the least they could have done is to deliver the food. But alas...!! They failed to do one single job that they were supposed to do. On calling the customer support once again a pathetic experience. The horror doesn't end here but this app doesn't even allow you to put poor rating for the order. Not recommended at all...!!

App is good,only thing is they don't deliver food once you book the order,they call you before for confirmation but don't deliver the order once you reach that station. After your call to them for non delivery of food ,they say they have raised the complaint and it would be resolved in few days, nothing more than they can do .Guys never book your order through this app ,if you don't want to be hungry while in journey.
