Excellent news app, really like it, but why on earth is there no ad free version...? The ads that appear while you read an article are really ugly, distracting, and in the very least annoying, offensive, and in bad taste. Why not remove these ads and keep the ones at the end of the article (free version)? You will still be getting revenue from these ads, and at the same time have a larger and more satisfied user base; and/or remove all the ads in a paid version? Thx Machine response! Incredible!

There does not seem to be a search feature. On multiple occasions, there have been stories I've seen on the broadcast news which I'm unable to find on the app. It's absolutely ridiculous I must do a generic Google search to find these stories to share with friends. (Furthermore, the Google search results sometimes don't show the CBS news story and I end up sharing a version from another news source.) CBS news is doing themselves a grave disservice by not offering search in its app.

At least with the previous form of this app the article would show fairly quickly. If you read it fast before the top half was covered it wasn't too bad. Now with this new 5.4 version that has been forced on us you can click the article and nothing happens except the click sound. I used to read the CBS app first, then you started covering it with videos and now it barely works at all. Great improvement, you can keep it, I will read NBC. Are you really trying to drive everyone away?

Great news! We've adjusted the size of the video player in articles. Easily move the player anywhere on the screen by tapping the top-left corner and dragging, or close it by tapping on the X at the top-right. Please update to the latest version of the app 5.4.2 . We hope you'll let us know how your experience has improved by updating your review.
