I really dislike that if I have to back out of a (streamed) story for something else coming in on my phone, that I cannot resume where I left off. So instead of rewatching the entire content to get the last few moments, I'll just move on. Seems like an app with this kind of backing would have taken something like this into account. May delete the app, may re-download later, not sure. But this would be a nice improvement for consumers. The additional network error messages are also too frequent.

I really liked the previous version of the CBS News app. It consisted of all written stories that started as a couple of sentences and then fully expanded with progressive clicks. This new one removed the brilliant simplicity of those written stories in favor of more video. As a result, I've gone from visiting multiple times daily to maybe once a week. Sometimes more is actually less and this is a great example of that.

App is VERY slow to load initially. Then it is very slow to load anything selected. Then it is very "heavy handed" about letting you close out of a video, and close out of the app. If you have a business high speed broadband internet service, it *might* be worthwhile. I like CBS's news coverage. But this app? Second try by me and it still fails to meet acceptable performance.
