Worst video streaming Every other app seems to stream video just fine, and CNET streams their CBS commercials just fine. What they can't seem to do is stream their own videos at all. They hang and won't play. What year is this anyway?
Not good. Used to be a good and informative app. But the ads on the videos take far too long and then the videos don't play without buffering and having to restart them over and over even on 4g. So I've tried long enough and now uninstalling.
Honestly, it keeps getting worse Constant crashing, terrible UI I can only see 2 articles at a time on my 10 inch tablet! A 30 second commercial for everything video (and usually the same one over and over again ). Why do your commercials play flawlessly but all other videos freeze up 2 seconds in? You should be ashamed! Here's an idea, why not think about you users instead of your bank account.
Best Content just... The content that the editors at CNET write is incredible but the coders that write the lines for the app are slouching. That's my case anyway on an S7 Edge, I click on a news story and the page only loads half way then presents white space all the way through. I'm not sure what to make of it. If I can't read full stories on here I'll just delete the app. Also I wish the Android version could have as much spit and Polish as iOS but seems there are enough problems already
Good content, horrible app I love the content, reviews, etc. However, the app continues to be horrible. Constant crashes and takes a long time to load pages. This app has always been bad. I'll stick with Engadget...uninstalling.
Why do you despise your readers? "Fixed app loading bug" "Fixed various crashes". Do you even bother testing the app? Are you guys run by Trump? It doesn't even open! Even tried removing & reinstalling it and rebooting the phone. It's not my Note 4 - it works with every other app. It's not my connection - I get over 60 Mbps. Why bother, CBS? It's not like your entertainment division which runs CBS Interactive posted fourth quarter 2014 revenue of $2.26 billion. Guess we shouldn't expect you can afford to build a WORKING app.
