Great Game! The only issue I have is that when I changed phones I lost my saves and the game has forgotten my purchases. I want to play more, but not if I have to rebuy everything.
Good not great game Great character development system. Great on small screen phones. Flaws: sub par graphics and slow grinding battles. Biggest flaw is you cannot save and reload a point in the past.
Definitive tactics rpg mobile game I played the free demo dungeon several times before deciding to purchase the entire game and optional characters... not just to get the full enjoyment of the game, but to support the developer. It is truly the best game I've played on mobile. Story, banter, combat, huge maps, character progression, difficulty... it's all top notch. If you are even remotely interested in turn based strategy rpg, you owe it to yourself to at least try the free demo. You will not be disappointed.
〰〰〰🌟 A MATAEUS REVIEW 🌟〰〰〰 A brilliant RPG with turn-based combat, you can hack n slash on 'Easy', have to think five moves ahead of yourself on 'Nightmare', or play any level of tactical combat in between. Each chapter after the free prologue gives you 20-40 hours of gameplay depending on how much you explore the world. The production values are great, the battles are tense and rewarding to get just right, and the depth of character development lets you create the ultimate build for your play style or leaderboard run. Perfect.
Great Game! This is a great RPG game that functions very well. A game that works exactly like it is supposed to is becoming hard to find in a sea of buggy games, but Hero's runs great every time I play it. It is a relatively simple game at first, but the character devolopment and story run deep, making it a blast to play. The best thing about it is how easy it is to start and stop the gameplay, making it a great way to pass the minutes in waiting rooms, or even hours on the train. Definitely a great buy.
Huh? What a surprise! Props to the Devs, the intro level played on easy is a fantastic intro to the available depth of strategy this game has on offer. As short as the free section is, if this game will trip your trigger, it has everything you need to make that call on display in the first 5 to 10 minutes. Subsequent playthroughs have shown me that being somewhat familiar with tabletop rpgs/turn based strategy games was more than enough for me to intuit the basic flow of the game. I should say if you are intimidated by the depth and complexity of most strategy games out there, consider giving this one a shot... While the rabbit hole goes fairly far down, it isn't like you have to memorize the interactions of 12 elemental subtypes to have a chance at success here. Instead the focus seems to be on how you deploy your forces in a given encounter to capitalize on their strengths. UI is intuitive if perhaps a little heavily tutorialized for fans of fantasy games but as you step up the difficulty it's easy to find that sweet spot of challenge vs. fun. I can't wait to play the later levels and MAYBE check out the other character classes on offer. Stock classes are pretty sweet.
