Safety
- Our first priority is your safety. On Trill, you don’t choose your own usernames, it’s assigned based on your color of choice.
- Trill is completely anonymous, so you can share your deepest, unfiltered thoughts.
- Additionally, if you feel unsafe, or believe your username has been compromised, you can easily change your “identity”.

Moderated
- Our moderators and proprietary machine learning work hand in hand to identify if a user plans to harm themselves, if a user is being harmed, or a user plans to harm someone else.

Communities
- Communities are smaller, tight knit groups of people that are decided based on your interests, or the tags you follow.
- They act as both support groups where you can share your thoughts in a smaller environment and as forums where interesting, in-depth conversations can take place between users.
- Each community is moderated by an approved Trill admin, who will provide ice breakers and moderate the community to ensure that it remains a safe environment for everyone in it.

Tags
- Follow the tags that interest you the most to customize your communities and feed. Make social media more than just a popularity contest.

Ratings and reviews

This app and the concept behind it is wonderful. I feel like that this will help a lot of people, however, execution (on Android at least) needs tweaking. When I first installed the app, it said something about communites which is cool. I apparently joined one, but I don't see a tab or section ANYWHERE that says anything about the communities I'm in or anywhere to search for some. There's a lot a lot of crashing and loading issues and I've barely used it for an hour. Otherwise, great app!

So the trill team has announced that trill has been bought by another similar app. I'm very disappointed. This is the only app I found where I can vent without getting negative comments. Even worse, the other app is only for iPhone, so I can't even try it. The creators also gave very little notice that this was happening. I don't really know what else to say. I'm just really disappointed that trill isn't usable anymore.

I have briefly used the app when I was using an iPhone and the concept seems great, so I was looking forward to using it on my new Android... However, I forgot what email and username I have used for the account. When I went to go sign up for another, it gives me a general error message.
