This app is slowly getting better (3 stars). It used to be a useful resource when traveling (5 stars!), then it released a new app that was way too buggy to even bother (2 stars, at best). It's kinda sad to see the once great Trip Advisor amount to this. Even now, while adding a new or missing place has gotten better, it still needs a dedicated page to place the new listing's location map pinpointer; and review photos are still posting with incorrect orientation (sideways, upside down).

It seems like basic functionality is missing, such as being able to copy text out of the app on my phone. I am using a Galaxy S8, so you would think that this would be easy to do. But when I select the text so that I can browse to a link, for example, I couldn't copy the text. I had to uninstall the app and browse to TripAdvisor as a web page in order to copy the text. ... if this is the only technical issue, then maybe they deserve four stars instead of the three I gave. I do like that other users post their experiences with various tips and critical reviews. This is a really good app for finding the best user-rated activities in an area, I use TripAdvisor all the time to scope out what activities are available.

My wife and I have used this app for years for conducting travel research, building daily itineraries, etc. Up until just recently, it was a 5 start app for us. We're planning our next trip, and the app has drastically changed!! If we can still create daily itineraries, neither of can figure out how to do it. Based on other current reviews, this feature appears to no longer be available. Unbelievable! We're already looking for another Travel app!!
