This 3rd edition definitely marks the success of this publication. A first publication, which came out of the press in 2003 in the form of a pocket containing 17 leaflets each offering a walk in the forest, was quickly sold out. Under the direction of its then president, the Chambre des Bois de l'Ouest Vaudois, a publishing association, gave it an extension with a new concept, an attractive graphic line and presented in the form of a binder.

With 7,000 copies printed, this edition dating from 2009, the content of which had been dubbed, has been out of print since 2017.

As demand never dried up, the association's committee voted in favor of a new edition. This concept allows it to be scalable, in addition to a complete update, it is augmented by six new walking sites.
