Every time you exit something that you clicked on it resets you right back to the newest so you can't continue down your feed. Videos don't play in landscape which is annoying. Between these 2 bugs the app is becoming unusable, it's getting as bad as twitter which I stopped using due to the messing with my viewing order.

The app worked just fine in the previous version, but since today's update my notes widget did not let me log in it and when I removed it from the page and tried to put it back it wasn't there anymore. I want that back!!!! And the app crashes after I go from a blog to another to another and another. Please fix these problems! AGAIN

I know that the mobile platform hasn't really been your focus for functionality, let alone usability. But maybe you could not have it auto refresh like ever, put a button in to go to top and refresh. I shouldn't have to scroll a mile every time I have the audacity to open messenger or heaven forbid let my phone turn off. Your app sucks. Fix it.

I feel like this app really excels at what it tries to achieve. If I'm frank, I like it better than your Facebooks, Twitters, and Instagrams. I would compare it to Reddit, but it is also VERY different from Reddit, so I more than likely just have poor judgement. Great app. Great site. I would recommend it to anyone around 17+ given its high supply of adult content.

You haved added so many great new features like messaging. But you have introduced 2 MAJOR bugs that ruin half of the functionality. Search tags does not work on people blogs. It just pulls up everything with that word! Or it pulls up NOTHING when i can see posts with that tag scrolling. What the hell?! Also almost every video does not play. Whats going on guys?! Thes bugs have existed for multiple versions I really hope this is not the beginning of Yahoo ruining this!

So you basically said that i must have a yahoo email first then i can make my tumblr acc or what. I dont play with yahoo and so does everyone. I want to make a new account with my gmail. I dont need yahoo and dont want them please fix this.

It's an amazing place, I'm able to post some of my art and that's amazing! But, it won't let me follow people, actually I was able to follow 25 lovely artist but now I sadly can't. Is there something wrong with my account? Also, please stop making more genders... Edit: Seriously, what the actual f**k, you're app has a positivity tag for people who are attracted to children, that's horrifying!
Uploading photosets has been very difficult for me even with a good connection. I have to REDO my post EVERY SINGLE TIME it fails to upload. I think it would be better if we can track the uploads within the app itself rather than waiting for it to appear on the status bar. It annoys me every time the upload fails and don't know where the heck it goes to. My enthusiasm to update actively decreases because of this.
It is truly amazing to see negative comments or comments of UI critique for *months* on end and have the tumblr staff seemingly unaffected or uninterested. The app, just as much as the web interface did, needs some love. It is dysfunctional and unstable: pictures won't upload, poor refresh, app crashes, broken videos.
Honestly the best part of this app is the humor in all aspects of the interface. It's refreshing to use an app that uses personal language instead of technical jargon. The same message gets across and yet I enjoy even an error message. Very nice touch
Nearly every time I switch to another app (like to take a call) my dash resets to the top but if I actually exit it keeps its position, which seems backwards. Even more annoying is that since the last update it mashes together current new posts with the previous to of the list so I have to refresh again - gonna be great for my data plan. Also, trying to pick out reblogs with comments in the activity feed is very difficult, as is keeping track of anything I comment on. I love my Tumblr community but the app leaves a lot to be desired.
The messaging feature on posts is kind of annoying. And by that I mean the hold down and slide feature. If I'm scrolling down on my dash, I don't want to accidentally send someone a post. It's happened a couple times and thankfully it wasn't anything bad.
I hate that my dashboard starts over from most recent each time I switch apps. Seems like I don't have all the privacy & personalization options that I do in a browser. And I despise the repetitive ads that are not remotely relevant to the type of content on the blogs I follow, real mood kill.
This is dumb. What the hell does something fizzled or Tumblr is acting up mean? If the app doesn't work fine I don't care but stop wasting my time
Safe Haven for mentally ill and delusional people to enable each other. But the reason I don't like it is because it doesn't properly save pictures you download. It'll say "saving" but will never save certain pictures
Brand new to the whole experience. Thrilled with the idea that it's a DIY kinda blog thing. So far, I've really enjoyed the posts, just sorta pinging off in different directions (started with Supertramp and went from there)
All I can tell you is that the Tumblr app constantly crashes & I really wish it would stop. I can't even delete my tumblr because it keeps stating "http 400 bad request"
For this one I still would give 5 stars, but everytime I upload photoset's it say's "it glitched or something went screwy. Please fix that it would help me very much. But all in all it's a great app for searching for anime or manga and all other stuff.
Crashes every five minutes or less. Once you think it starts getting better it actually gets much, much worse. Tumblr app will forever be garbage.
Tumblr honestly kills boredom. It's very addicting and it helps you find topics within the same interests that you may have. The app itself is great, be ready to spend countless hours scrolling through things.
I used this app without issues for a while but I recently made a new account. I created it through the mobile browser because the app just would not work. After I created it I repeatedly attempted to log in through the app but I have had no success. Half the time I can't get the login page to even load, when I do I can't log in because after typing in my password it just resets the page. It never works, I've tried dozens of times. I changed my password, I watched word-for-word as I typed and it still insists the password is wrong. It lags behind what I do considerably and sometimes let's me log in (twice using two different, incorrect passwords without the passwords being changed) and then won't load anything and crashes. The app is lovely, though admittedly slow at times, and enjoyable when I can use it but the issue is it won't let you enjoy the app unless you are logged in and I CANNOT log in. I don't see myself continuing to use this app, I would love to if the issue was resolved but as it is actually not even possible to use the app and the fact that I don't see this being fixed anytime soon I probably will never use it again.
They need to make it easier to queue posts. I don't want to spam my followers by reblogging things so often. And clicking 4 buttons to queue is annoying.
Since the new update barely any notifications are showing and I'm not getting updates when messages come through. Tagging on mobile posts reverted to the old way and doesn't bring up any auto fill tags of my own anymore. ..
WHY CAN'T WE CHOOSE THE WAY TO LIST BLOGS WE'RE FOLLOWING: ALPHABETICAL OR LAST ADDED?? PLEASE DON'T FIX WHAT'S NOT BROKEN. wow, all pictures are freaking blurry and resized, sets of pictures don't show correctly (it only shows first and last mashed together), everything loads even slower, crashes even more, and I see you added more ads, wtg👎 BRING BACK OLD SEARCH SYSTEM!!! Random crashes and looping apparently will never get fixed. "Keep reading" is still not working (when I click it, it's empty). Sometimes can't scroll tags to read them. Editing a post throws you back to the top of your blog. And it's freaking annoying that I have to reinstall the app everytime some porn blog follows me. Cause even if I block them they won't disappear from my activity feed.
Kinda tired of random porn blogs following me. The under 18 inappropriate ones. Wish there was a way for blogs to have to request to follow you so your whole follower count isn't 90% "barely legal" porn blogs.
Yeah. I like it even though I had an account terminated. My only quarrel is that I wish if you gotten a certain kind of content strike you could be sent a copy of the community guidelines or at least given a detailed report of your infraction so that you don't make that mistake again.
Jfc I was forced to updating the app due to factory resetting my phone and the changes are horrifying. I can't even figure where to find my asks anymore. I don't need to look at my entire actual blog constantly. I preferred the past version as I could check each side blog for asks, follower count, etc in seconds. It's just annoying now.
OK, Tumblr is a great app and I would seriously reccomend it but it has its issues. 1. Slow loading It always takes atleast 2 minutes to load up a picture, maybe more. 2. Sending Messages Maybe this is just a problem for me but I don't know. I can't send any messages despite having four bars on my wifi. No matter what I do. 3. Can't open sometimes Sometimes I press a link to go to tumblr but all I see is a glimps of the tumblr color and my homescreen repeatedly until I press my home button. These are the three basic issues I'm having but otherwise tumblr is good to connect people and share whatever it is you want to show. Hope the issues are fixed, I really do love this app!
Something I am still having trouble with is the fact that I cannot edit my profile. I can't upload a new icon or cover. Every time I upload a picture to edit it, the app crashes. (Update 6/11: Still cannot customize my profile. I also cannot open the app at all. It crashes when I do.)
Images rarely load, and it's even more of a hassle trying to make a post as they either post it a million times or don't post it at all. It's an improvement from the mobile SITE, but still not very good.
I have dealt with the Tumblr app since 2015, finally, here are some of my thoughts: They definitely fixed a lot of bugs compared to what I had to deal with before. From titles and tags disappearing, nothing refreshing, unfollowing me from blogs I'd follow. Things are way better now. The only issue I have currently is that my activities and my messages refresh very slowly or don't refresh at all. It's frustrating getting notifications but not being able to see what it's all about because I can't refresh my activity. Messages could be better, only things I have to deal with now are messages being sent very slowly and getting notified hours later until I recieve a message from a friend. Hope you guys can fix that soon. Other than that I've been enjoying my experience on the app, it's improved A LOT. But there are a few things here and there that can use work.
Has improved quite drastically, I really enjoy using this app again which is nice! Maybe a suggestion for new features in the future would be the option to search in your likes or maybe make a blacklist tags option that doesn't require having an xkit extension? Pretty simple features to add really. Would make my experience even better! Otherwise great work guys! 👌
Normally pretty solid. Latest update seems to have resulted in a bad connection to the internet however. Tumblr being the only app affected, Tumblr site on browsers working as usual.
They pick and choose which porn blogs to keep lol and make excuse why they don't delete all instead of some and I can't even delete comments now.
It's a cesspool of depravity and debauchery (and a plethora of many other things). I love it!!
[Edit] May 29, 2017 - Thank you for fixing the read more bug. ------- 'Read mores' do not show up on this app, but it does show on desktop. This needs to be fixed. Otherwise everything else is fine.
I just got the update and now the app isn't working. It opens up to a black screen and I have to turn my phone off to get out of the app.
This app consume lots of data. Please make this app data efficient as like facebook consume little amount of data thts very good data consumption but tumblr waste too much when we surfing n check others update on his/him blogs

One of the best ever apps, and is has everything you need for social media. Can't wait for tumblr to take over, its awesome
