Notifications need improvement. When I receive notice that someone I've followed has posted something new, clicking on the notification should take me to that Tumblr's new posts. Instead, the app opens at the dashboard as usual, requiring me to search my list of followed Tumblrs to find that Tumblr. After several hundred follows, it makes them hard to find. Also, it would be great to beable to sort my followed Tumblrs alphabetically instead of listening them from newest to oldest.
The fact that I have installed this in three different devices in over the course of five years should be evidence enough of how much I love this app. That said, I love how it manages all things that I want, nit just showing me blogs similar to what I follow, but blogs I didn't know had things I never new I would love. Fast bug fixes, able to post a lot of things and reblog to my heart's content. I am over the moon on Tumblr, and I hope the best for it.
Does not work on Amazon Fire 8. Which causes the website to constantly ask me to install the app even though its installed already, making the website useless and the app garbage. The app on the cellphone loads the advertising amazingly fast but the content slowly.
The application keeps crashing. Randomly too. Can't seem to figure out the issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and that did not help. I love, LOVE Tumblr but if it's gonna crash I'm the middle of me enjoying memes I'd rather not use it. Unless this is fixed, this review won't change. Apologies.
new safe mode update blocks everything. even harmless media and has stopped me from viewing many things that i like. not to mention how absolutely hard it is to turn off the safe mode on android devices. really bad instructions and useless settings. I used to love this app and i wish you could do something about it.
Can the reblog button stay green after each reblog? It's kinda hard to remember if you've already reblogged it or not sometimes, also, is there a way to stop the app from adding a notification for EVERY reblog? It's extremely annoying and if I swipe them away too fast, ALL MY NOTIFICATIONS disappear. Please help. Please. Finally, recently a bug surfaced that would delete notifications from my notifications bar, I'd see 5 notifications, leave my phone for a bit, and come back to see only 2, what the...?
Why do we malign bugs so? Are we not their Creators? As we crush them, do we not crush a part of ourselves? It was not weakness or failure that allowed them into this world. Nay, it was the light of innovation that we cast into the dark corners that these bugs call home. ‘Twas our torches that sent these bugs skittering. This update finds them a new home.
