Themed “Culture On the Move”, the 2019 Creative Expo Taiwan takes place in five locations along the new cultural corridor — Huashan 1914 Creative Park, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Taipei Expo Park - Expo Dome, Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab, and TRW Railway Museum. Each location showcases a different form of creativity — “Stage On the Move” showcases performing arts, “Places On the Move” exhibits cultural artifacts from four Taiwanese cities, “Fair On the Move” is an expo of licensing and design brands, “School On the Move” teaches visitors about Taiwanese culture, and “Infrastructure On the Move” transforms the old railroad into a visual spectacle. Taipei will become a creative arena, stimulating interaction, events, and ideas through a myriad of cultural dynamics.
Huashan 1914 Creative Park is the main venue of 2019 Creative Expo Taiwan, featuring “Stage On the Move” and “Places On the Move”. “Stage On the Move” showcases Taiwan's performing arts, and experiments with breaking down the barrier between front and back stage in a series of performances. “Places On the Move” exhibits cultural artifacts from four Taiwanese cities (Taoyuan, Tainan, Pingtung, and Taitung), probing deep into the customs, festivals, and landscapes of the local communities in each city. Each city exhibits its local themes and crafts on its own pavilion at Huashan 1914 Creative Park, integrated with publications on regional culture and history.
At Taiwan Contemporary Culture Laboratory (C-Lab), “School On the Move” teaches visitors about Taiwanese culture. Taipei Railway Workshop, which is designated as a national historic site, will be transformed into a visual spectacle called “Infrastructure On the Move”. Finally, “Fair On the Move” is an expo of more than 570 design and licensing brands, taking place at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and Taipei Expo Park - Expo Dome, giving buyers unprecedented access to the latest trends coming out of Taiwan.
