Living in Florida anticipating hurricane Irma I researched the top hurricane tracking apps. This hurricane tracker appeared in the top 5 explaining it was the most thorough, in depth app with real-time alerts, Radars among endless other features! I just downloaded it today as we await our fate in Florida. I have to say it truly has every necessity for tracking all elements of a hurricane, tropical storm, all other elements involved! Having a bit of difficulty navigating all the alerts on top of each other, what each mean but that speaks to my newness navigating this app not the app's capabilities so I have no choice but to give it 5 stars! Thank you for creating this wonderful app to give Millions peace of mind.
Great grafics..... love the customs option on what is displayed on your radar. It's up to date..... bright colored easy to use. And so far no ads no pop ups! Awesome! Especially with hurricane Irma right around corner knocking at the back door. #GreatApp #onpointwithhurricaneseason,Irma
Storm app being discontinued and replaced by this app. Too bad so many good features are missing! No widigets for simple quick view. Can't save multiple locations and switch between them. No distance rings around location. No 10 day forecast in this app, have to install another app for that. I don't like the user interface, not as clean and simple as storm app. Storm radar is a disappointment and does not match the usability of the app it is replacing.
It's a battle between Storm Radar & MyRadar. One thing I really like is that the radar transparency can be maxed to 100 and you can still view street names. Most apps once you get into the 80 or 90 range your unable to see any towns or streets. Still trying to figure out how to quickly access favorite locations. The more I try it the more I like.
Irritating interface - ex: this version now includes a floating button to See details ... But until you do that's your only option. So my options as a user are ... Mash a button blocking me from doing anything useful or exiting the app? ***Uninstall*** I liked the version before the recent sweeping changes. Far better, before they were bought out by The Weather Channel/IBM.
Gave it a brief try. I really prefer Weather Underground's version. This one kept crashing during the tutorial. Still shows a current category 3 hurricane (Irma) as an invest, which leads me to distrust all other information. Also seems to show tropical systems that have dissipated, resulting in a cluttered and confusing map. Really annoyed by the autoplay feature and the need to manually scroll back to "Now" to see current radar. I didn't use it long enough to encounter an ad. Uninstalled.
