Amazing App After using Feedly exclusively since Google Reader was shut down, I finally made the switch to Press (Feedly's link hi-jacking was the last straw). Initially, I was turned off by the price. The money spent on this app has been worth every penny. It is beautiful, and very easy to navigate. Press also takes full advantage of immersive mode, which more apps should do. Highly recommended.
System network access issue Press, renowned by many to be one of the best RSS apps, looks great, awesome Feedly integration, but there seems to be an issue with the app gaining system access to use a data connection. Whether WIFI or LTE, about half the time press fails to update and I am met with a buffering icon. Not background sync, in-app reading, opening stories, categories, etc. Expect more from a paied app. Via Galaxy Note 2
Great app but barely any updates I like the app, the functionality is as advertised and being able to read your feeds offline sure is a great advantage. But, I find the app to be at a total standstill, there is not further development or new features. I'd love to see some material design style look and feel as well as a better use of tablet real estate. So guys, please get back on working on this app and add some features, in the end this is a paid app and maintenance should be part of what we pay for.
Perfect Reader Press has long held my top spot as mobile feed reader. The controls are intuitive. Feedly integration is perfect. The minimalistic style is just what I want to minimize distractions and allow me to cruise through hundreds of articles at a time. While I don't use the pocket or instapaper integration often it is a great option. Press is the best paid app on the Play Store. Big thanks to TwentyFive Squares for creating and actively maintaining Press.
Couple minor issues, but app is my favorite reader The asthetics and usage are spot on. Favorite reader app by far. I use it with Feedly and it works great. Only suggestion would be an Android L update where you could color code categories so the status bar would change colors as you read articles from different categories. Just something to add some color. But overall, fantastic app, simple, clean, effective.
It's getting better I originally purchased Press to use with feedly and originally I found a *lot* of issues. Thankfully the team seem to be working to fix bugs and add extra features and things like navigation have been greatly improved. Engagement with the team was lacking after reporting bugs, but they seem to fix bugs and push updates with regularity now. I would certainly recommend this above the standard feedly app
