Great app, and it's way more advanced than the competing other light strings. There are frequently new patterns to download and they issue updated firmware to push to the lights. Setting up the lights isn't always the easiest. I had to try several times, and take it slow. Most important thing to know is the lights don't connect to a 5 ghz wifi, only a 2.4 ghz wifi. Once set up they're great.

App works as expected. I would like the ability to schedule not one but two timers. Currently I can only schedule one period for the evening, it would be nice to be able to schedule one for the morning as well. In response to develop comments about using Google home to complete the request. Double check your app. I only see the ability to connect Alexa unless I am missing something.
Hi!
Thanks for your feedback, and for your suggestions! Having the ability to set multiple timers with the Twinkly App would be great! In the meantime, though, we have a tip for you 😉
You can reach the same results, by setting multiple timers with voice assistants like Google Home, or Alexa, that's part of the magic of Twinkly compatibility! ❤️✨

I noted that many people are reviewing the product not the app, and that's not right. I love the product but this review is just for the app. In general the latest version (today is apr 2, 2022) does a lot of things right. There are a few oddities, especially when using the music dongle where the settings page randomly switches to gen 2 mode and back to gen 1, and a few other annoyances where it wouldn't detect new available effects until i force-closed the app. I also had that happen a couple of times when detecting devices. But as i said in general, it works pretty well. Effects, unless special, can in general be edited. Colors can be changed, layers can be made. I'm not sure what the purpose of area vs one group is as you get the same result. I would also love to be able to put different effects on each half of a split string. Finally, the ios app allows you to add text, but the android one is missing this obvious feature and it's actually driving people to write custom software to replace the feature. Possibly a bigger annoyance is the wifi strings are nerfed on purpose to make the wired pro strings more desirable. If you own a pro controller, you don't even have to use it. The app will unlock new features for the home edition lights.

Hello John ❤️
The Area group consideration is used to create a big scene in which the effect is basically divided so that every device reproduces its portion! On our help page, you find more details on this 😊
For the other aspects, we would like to look into them, so please get in touch with our Support team (twinkly.com, help, contact us)! ❤️
