I've downloaded 2 audio books with this app (Android). The end of most of the tracks on the first book were chopped off. I thought maybe it was a bad download or an issue with that particular book. However the second book does the same thing, and also intermittently pauses for no reason. I didn't even bother after the first few tracks and just returned it. Don't waste your time.
The audiobook section of this id terrible. It gargles at the end of every track. The book suddenly unexpectedly stops. I used to use Overdrive. This is a completely terrible app. I don't blame the app as much as the cloudlibrary. I wish my library would go back to it. ****Update this is all on the Android app. I tested audiobooks on my computer with no issue***
I love the app but it is very glitchy. It repeats words at the end of each chapter and shuts down a lot losing your place in the current chapter. Also can not search by author and book title must be spelled exact or it will not find the book. Other than that great app
Very limited choice of audiobooks. I just had an awful experience where a book I was listening to got returned due to me running out of time. This i expect, but now the audiobook doesn't show at all. I've checked my filters, and it does not seem to be due to the book not being available. Now I can't even take it out again or put it on hold.
Absolute garbage. I was forced into this dog dump of an app by my library system. Overdrive is far superior in all respects. It may be a limitation of our library's subscription, but CL does not support downloads to Kindle ereaders. You know, the single most popular reading platform. Completely useless. I'm going to pull an Andy Dufresne on our State library director. This is a joke.
My library switched from overdrive to this. I only use this app for audiobooks and i hope the app gets better. The only things that are better is you don't have to do a separate action to download books and search is slightly easier. Else some of the downsides are random pausing, skipping small pieces at chapter ends, no way to view progress of whole book (only per chapter), no widget to pause/play/skip from drop down. The selection is super poor but that's probably the library system more than the app and hopefully gets much better fast.
