As many others have suggested these changes would help many people's experience: 1) show a local time stamp (or how many minutes:seconds ago) the last position update came through. Since you estimate the arrival time based on the last location it loses accuracy every minute that goes by. 2) give us a simple refresh button so we don't have to close and reopen the app to force an update (which for some reason is necessary often it seems). This is 2024, it's lame to not have that.

When it works, usually first 2 weeks of school, it works well. Then it stops working. NO notification for delayed bus, it freezes all the time. It won't track bus like it should, if it tracks at all. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, logged out and in again. Nothing fixes it if it stops working. Very frustrating for me and my child because our bus comes at different times for pick up.

As a programmer, think about capturing the timestamp when the tracking device reports a GPS location. When the location data gets old, maybe dim the bus location arrow. Perhaps after 30 seconds with no new data, display a note next to the arrow showing how many minutes/seconds it's been since an update was received. This can also help make arrival estimates more accurate. Differentiate between stationary vehicles and gaps in data updates.
