The app been totally messed up lately. I was trying to accept rides while I was on a ride and I hit accept around 4 times and it wouldn't accept it. Also sometimes when it's bad weather or traffic and people make stops they don't pay enough. It sends you two houses blocks away not even the correct address at times. When you contact support they say sorry for any inconvenience. But when you're out there trying to make a living and you can't except rides then this becomes a problem. All you receive is I'm sorry for any inconvenience.
A very good App. However the following need to be rectified: pick up addresses and pins are 95% wrong...unacceptable for a technology company of such importance! very often provides different addresses of pickup on different pages (on the main page, the info/clipboard page, the way bill, the navigation app and the rider apps) causes confusion and misunderstanding with riders and makes drivers look stupid. Details how fares are calculated including adjustments are not reported instantly in detail which makes it impossible to monitor accuracy and fairness. Supports are prompt but often not specific or relevant. uber pool matched requests are often not audibly notified (added quietly) which are prone to be overlooked or unnoticed which may cause poor service. Better to have the list of all pickups on the main page so that we have the full picture and sequence of pickups. I like the fact rate allocated for time is low.... as it eliminates the major source of misunderstanding by riders that they often perceive a driver took a busy route to maximize their fare (drivers') however riders shouldn't be allowed to do multiple stops to do errands killing valuable time of the driver for such very low rate per minute (lower than the minimum wage). I don't understand the purpose of limiting the number of times drivers can set up to be matched to their destination to two except making it unnecessarily unfair to those who might need it. It also defies the very essence of "Ride Sharing". No audible notification when requests are cancelled and it is has been happening for months. Not good.
The pickup for some rides are set in the middle of busy intersections or otherwise inaccessible areas, due to traffic. Very unsafe to stop anywhere near, so I cancel rides sometimes. This is an on-going concern with fares and I thought there was a new platform to help correct this by meeting at the closest, convenient location. After the 6/22 update, instant cash out is no longer working.
Latest app (6/21/17) drains battery and making phone very hot just by opening it. A lot of glitches but a fairly complicated app to be perfect. However many glitches are from automatic detection such as improper use policy is simply junk and demoralizing.
This app is pretty good I glad they finally listening to drivers and making changes like tip options. The one thing I would like to see added to the driver app is while waiting for request or deciding where to go work you can see how many drivers are in the in area so we can make the most money with the shortest amt of downtime .
I have been driving for uber for a little over a month now, and three different times they have suspended my instant pay for no reason. And there is no 0hone number to call and it takes forever for a response through the app, and its always a generic response. If they would fix this it would be great, but everytime i think they have it fixed the next time i go to cash out it is suspended again. Im sick of them messing with my money.
Use Truecaller to identify unknown calls, and block spam calls and spam SMS.
