About this app

Combine this app with one of many Jimu Robot kits to create and program smart robots.
The app uses 3D, 360° instructions to guide users step-by-step through the building process. Blockly coding makes programming simple and fun. Drag-and-drop interlocking blocks of customizable sequences to make your JIMU robots react or use the PRP (Pose, Record, Play) system for even more fun. If you're new to coding, the app contains fun lessons for you to become a Blockly coding master. For true innovators, the app also allows users to design customized JIMU robot creations and share them with the community.

I love to build robots and legos and things like that, when I came across the jimu dragon set I wanted to try it out. I loved the fact that it finally has something other than a paper manual. I started building the robot and was testing the app, I love that you can veiw things from different agels, everything is so much easier. My favorite part would have to be the fact that you can put in your own coding and the app has presets so you can chose either. I just love this app.

Having to install a huge app to get the building instructions is a pain. Downloading a PDF with the steps would have been much better. This app is not compatible with any of the three Chromebooks with Android apps that I tried. Being able to use the larger screens (and keyboard) would have been massively more convenient. I do have a phone with a fairly large screen (Pixel 2XL) but the building steps are small hard to follow using the 3D modeled build instructions. It's fancy for the sake of being fancy while suffering in usability. I suspect the app would actually work on the Chromebooks if it wasn't being blocked from install. Almost every Android app I have tried on a Chromebook worked perfectly. A couple worked with some minor issues. I'm willing to accept any issues, please enable use on Chromebooks!

As it takes a long time to assemble, you'd think the "Build" portion would remember where you left off or give you a bookmark function. it doesn't. When I restart the app it takes me to a random step and I have to waste time figuring out where I left off. At least give me a page number I can write down when I stop! Praying I didn't skip a step somewhere.
