Doesn't work - on either my Marshmallow Nexus 5 or on my CyanogenMod 12.1 HtC one XL. On both devices lapse it pro just randomly stops recording - sometimes after ten minutes sometimes after 2 hours, but its never managed to record for more than 3.5 hours. When it did manage to record 3 hours of timelapse - the render crashed. Moreover although I had set frame interval at 3 seconds on both devices, the HTC recorded much slower than that, as though the frame interval did not account for the time taken to take and record the picture. So even if it had managed to record the entire event (two phones - two angles), and could actually render the results, I'd be left with two videos of different lengths that would then not match up. Rubbish - avoid. FrameLapse on the other hand - which I purchased next - has fewer options and I cant make it handle screen rotation - but it works. Recorded 8 hours timelapse on both phones and frame intervals on both phones are identical - AND there's no render step
This app is actually pretty cool. I *wish* it had a zoom feature. It would probably work best if you have at least a mini-tripod. I *wish* there were better tutorials. Better tutorials=more stars. Gotta love an app developer who programs to allow the end user to define his/her own save path (e.g., sd card) which this app does allow. A text message will stop and/or delay this app in mid process. C'mon this is a phone and it gets messages... why allow this happen? This is not a fast process and a flaw like this can be a problem. Perhaps, in fairness, this may be beyond the developer's control. This app is feature rich (again tutorials please) and if I understood it better, it would be worth so much more than what I paid for it.
This USED to be fun. Maybe it's because I've used it enough times to notice all the glitches, but this app just doesn't work very well. Perfect example: setting the time limit to "timer" is useful, except there's no clear way to SET the timer. I learned the hard way that it defaults to ten minutes. Also, there's a terrible flicker in the final renderings that can only be avoided by locking the automatic exposure. Another annoyance: the app locks your screen on, preventing it from going black, even after it's done recording. The list goes on. I paid $2 for it a few years ago, so I guess I got my money's worth, but it's time to find an alternative. EDIT: No longer renders, with or without the "awesome" setting. Reboots my phone in the middle of capturing sometimes. I'm done with this app.
Superb app! I love time lapse sequences but don't have a camera with that feature at present. At Christmas I got a Joby grip tight for my phone and decided to try out the time lapse on my camera app, problem was I had no software to make it into a video. Found this and tried it out, works a treat and much easier to change features than frame lapse so bought the Pro version. works on my S2 and S3 mini. It is easy to change the frame rate of the saved video which makes a big difference to the output quality. Very happy!
This app was exactly what I was looking for, but it really needs rework on RAW capture. The access to RAW capture are somewhat hidden, while it should be transparent to the user. User should be able to choose, among all resolutions, also RAW. More than that, more resolutions should be present, not only 1080p or RAW. Why isn't it possible to use, for example, 4K resolution if the camera can do it? This is very limiting, specially for those (like me) who wants the post-processing to be done elsewhere but inside LapseIt. This is what's missing in order to deserve 5 starts IMHO. There's been more than 1 years since the last update. It is time for some news.
DopeAF On dope rectangles this app has always worked quite well for my needs! I used it for free on my HTConeM8 for years... I just upgraded to a Pixel XL #DopeRectangle and bought this app first day... I've had a smartphone since summer 2010 #DopeSummer and this is the very first time that I've bought an app. It's because I love guilt and advertising and shuffle and 720p. Lapse it pro does everything... Pay the money and get high quality H264 at whatever frame rate you need. Do it! #worthit #goodbuy
• New Android Lollipop camera mode that includes manual controls and more, to access the new camera go to New Capture - More - "Material" Camera ( Only accessible on Android L )
• Material camera supports full background capture with device screen off or Lapse It on background.
• We worked on the "awesome render engine" and the import video feature to make them compatible with more devices.
If you like Lapse It, please take the time to give us a nice review: it really helps.
Thank you !
