This app was inspired by the call to unity (in Ephesians 4 & John 17) and the call to love and encourage one another (in Hebrews 10 & 1 Thessalonians 4). In addition, we were greatly inspired by Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s book “Life Together”. Bonhoeffer beautifully describes how we can see Jesus more clearly in the lives and testimonies of our brothers and sisters.

WHO MADE HOLY?
Unlike most apps, HOLY (formerly United Young) is built and cared for by the two of us (Kathleen & Jonathan), with help from our trusted friend Karen, who looks after support and reviews new profiles. We made this app for Christians to meet and encourage one another in their walk with Jesus.

We believe it’s more important than ever to share an uplifting word, a prayer, or a testimony with one another. May we remind each other of the eternal hope we have found in Jesus. I got this trying to just use the basic service and accidentally got a subscription. No more than like 2 or 3 minutes after I realized what I had done, I went to get a refund, and Google couldn't send it to me. So I tried to message the help department of the app, and they didn't even respond! so now I'm almost 80 out of pocket. I realize that I made the mistake but surely they should have a return or refund policy for 5 minutes! And I have only had like 3 or 4 match and not my preference list.

great simple Set up and use, I like how it is structured, I've not used it long enough to get a real feel for it or response from anyone, but so far the App it's self is awesome, and you don't get a munch of bots or fake profiles and everything is varied, in this dating age that is worth it's weight in gold...Speaking of cost? it is extremely reasonable.

I love how intentional the app is about keeping God at the center of it all. The bio questions are almost all faith centered so it's less appearance driven. I also appreciate how you are only able to see 40 profiles every 4 hours unless you pay for a subscription because thus keeps you from endless swiping. Definitely recommend even though it's a smaller app still!

Thanks for your valuable feedback! By popular request, you can now share your marital status and specify your exact denomination or faith tradition on your profile. Browsing, waves and chat got smoother too: you'll no longer miss a wave from someone you passed on earlier, and chat keeps your place and saves unsent messages.
