About this app

AMUZERIDE TRANSIT: AUTOMATIC FARE COLLECTION SHOWCASE
OPEN-LOOP TICKETING WITHOUT CARDS!

A live 5-minute presentation of what online marketplaces can do to seamlessly sell transit services - up to 350B/y.

This app showcases the UniTiAg (https://unitiag.com/) open-loop ticketing model and infrastructure, demonstrating an innovative approach to mobile transit fare collection: secure, anonymous, and reliable tap-and-ride functionality with tap latency below 250 milliseconds in offline environments.

CORE CONCEPT: THE OPEN-TO-RIDE BALANCE (OTRB)
The app replaces traditional closed-loop physical transit cards with a digital Open-To-Ride Balance (OTRB). The app is seamlessly integrated with the demo marketplace, AmuzeBuy (https://amuzebuy.com/). Marketplaces play a pivotal role in the UniTiAg open-loop model.

HOW THIS WORKS:
• Riders act as buyers; they pay online at marketplaces for their Open-To-Ride Balance refills.
• Transit Agencies (TAs) act as sellers at marketplaces.
• Riders tap their phones using the AmuzeRide Transit app (or present an app-generated QR code) at transit validators to ride. There are no payment transactions processed at the validator gateways.
• UniTiAg manages the OTRBs and reports to the marketplace. The marketplace then reconciles with the transit agencies for the services provided.

Marketplace, transit agency, and ticketing system vendor stakeholders can look and feel the complete rider lifecycle of an OTRB: from dynamic creation and funding to real-time balance management and secure device revocation, all synchronized with the AmuzeBuy marketplace ledger.

KEY FEATURES AVAILABLE FOR TESTING:
• OTRB Configuration: Create a transit ticketing balance, select a currency, and define custom low-balance warning thresholds.
• Account Syncing: Link a secure session using an email address to synchronize rider history across the ecosystem.
• Simulated Billing: Test manual fare refills and trigger automated low-balance email warnings via backend background workers.
• Device Revocation: Execute a remote wipe to safely unlink the OTRB and destroy local cryptographic keys without compromising the user's overarching account.
• Stateless App Design: The OTRB is never stored in the app. The UniTiAg cloud manages OTRBs and seamlessly synchronizes them with the transit agency infrastructure. The app only stores a Contactless-Rider Device (CRD) Token, which is linked to the OTRB via UniTiAg. This ensures the open-loop architecture and maintains total rider anonymity.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a demonstration application operating in a sandbox environment for stakeholder evaluation. No real funds are charged, and simulated payment methods are used for all payment gateway interactions.
