Not Working??? Sorry about the one star but i can't get it working. Unity Remote starts up and tells me to connect....then nothing happens??? I've done everything that i can think of and still can't get it working, i have a Samsung Galaxy if that makes a difference?
Wonderful but needs WIFI capabilities !! A simple, pathbreaking and a light app is what every user wants and Remote is one. However it is hampered by the USB connectability. It really needs to be WIFI friendly, and there are times when you stop Playing your game in Unity, and the Remote freezes and does not return to the loading screen, making the user to kill the app and re start it
The only app I ever rated This is the only app I have ever rates only because this app sucks so badly. They need to spend more time fixing this piece of trash to make it more functional.
Android Users get the Shaft Apparently the iOS version of this application can use Wi-Fi to connect. I've been developing my mobile game for a little while using the Remote, and find that it's very finicky as to when it will connect via USB. It's really a shame to see that Android users are getting the shaft on this one. Developing using this remote and a USB connection is a pain in the butt. Half the time the USB cable shifts a little bit, disconnects, and then you have to restart Unity (even w/ 4.2) to get it to work again -- sometimes several times over. Don't get me wrong -- it's an awesome concept and very helpful when it works, but it absolutely needs WiFi capabilities.
Works great This app helped a great deal when trying to debug applications in unity. It is setup in the best way possible despite what other users say. *** And to all those that complain: If you wanted this app to use wifi or the back button than how would you test that in your app?
Works Somewhat Once unplugged and plugged back in I need to restart unity (win8) ... Back Button: Doesn't seem to work (not in Editor either) ... besides that ... Unity 4.1.3, Nexus 4, works. Make sure you have dev options on (in phone) and connected via MTP and not PTP (camera mode), USB debugging might be enabled too. Quality: of course it's crap! It's streaming screenshots, your device is only used as input for the EDITOR and not the other way round, duh. What's the point? Avoid compiling time and see if your code works in an instant. For proper testing you have to compile your game/app and send it to the phone, there is no magic trick around it.
Version shipped with Unity 3.5.5
