Wow, what is the point of that? Sure I can run what is in the editor on my phone in real time over a USB connection but most of my game functionality doesn't work. Where's my Rotate? Why do my Sphere's suddenly correctly work on Android when they shouldn't, the problem I'm trying to solve. When I disconnect from Unity Remote 5 I get all the functionality I had before, bugs and all. This does nothing for me.
Perfect for development This app works perfectly. If you can't get it to work, chances are you cant even build & run directly to your device from unity. This app doesn't do this setup process for you, it expects you to have knowledge of the processes involved in app development and to have already set your device into developer mode (duh) and to enable usb debugging (of course) Don't expect it to be plug and play unless you already develop and build apps to your device from unity. For me it was exactly that. Plug, set device, play
Works great thanks!! Makes Android testing much easier and faster graphics quality is low but it's better than nothing. As to ppl having problems .make sure you have USB debugging enabled in the developer setting :P
3.5 hours wasted This doesn't run after trying like 150 different things - drivers, adb.exe, sdk, jdk, ndk, unity project and build settings, restart, rerun, disable-enable, phone dev configuration... and many more. Nothing works! I have to actually build and install every time I wish to test a run. How disappointing!
When it works great. But I spend more time trying to instead of using it. It's very buggy in OSX. Works for a very short while after first opening unity then it just stops. Restarting the remote app and unity resolves it again for a short while.
Added support for gamepads connected to the remote device (requires Unity 5.4)
Added support for compass and location data
