Why would a medical app need access to my phone calls and my photo gallery. I will be suggesting that our hospital choose something else. That is more than creepy. No HIPAA issue here.
I love uptodate and depend on it for work. I was so excited for the app...until I saw that it requires permission to my phone calls and media (pictures, videos etc). That's ridiculous and totally unnecessary. If you don't give permission for calls and media, you can't use the app. I won't be using it, I'm very, very disappointed.
The offline contents gets erased each time it gets updated And it seems like that many people are facing the same issue and the "Uptodate" simply are not bothered to fix the problem
The content on up-to-date is amazing, however the service is poorly run. On multiple occasions I would inexplicably be blocked from accessing up-to-date for several hours at a time. When I would contact customer service they would say they could see no evidence of this on their end and then ignore any further correspondence. The worst instance was when I was unable to access the service for three days over a weekend when I needed access to prepare for a case review. I was unable to contact customer support because it was a weekend. They gave me the same run around that they didn't know what was going on, and there was nothing they would do to compensate me for the time I was unable to access the service I was paying a lot of money for. Then they stopped responding to further correspondence. Finally, they make cancellation as hard as possible. You must do it by email, and wait until they get around to your email, while you hope they get to it in time so you aren't billed for an extra month. If why not one click cancellation like every other online service I have ever used? Basically, the content is good, but you randomly won't be able to access it, often when you really need it, and customer support is aweful. They essentially shrug their shoulders and say "oh well." I required access to this service for a period of my proffesional life, and I'm happy I don't anymore. Dealing with poor customer service and the frustration of not being able to use the service you're paying for is annoying.
Cannot download the the offline content.. whenever the download reaches 7 mb it says there is a problem with the downloaded content. Please fix that as soon as possible.
Why do this application needs to be allowed to make phone calls from my phone?!!.And if you refuse it can't be started A money was played but you can't use it on your phone.Why?
